Reconsider the rules regarding culture of liege affecting culture of bishops and mayors. As King of Italy under the HRE all the bishops and half the mayors in my demense (all of which was in Italy) were German. Suffice the say, the -20 penalty to relations for being foreign made religious relations troublesome. It also assists in the HREs hyper-stability (as there are so many mechanics turning the nobility german or allowing the HRE to displace the existing nobility and replace it with germans). Give more weight to the culture of the province (if catholic), and the culture of the immediate nobility.

Actually, while I understand why Pdox wants the culture of the province to be of little weight it has arguably gone too far (to the point where its basicly immaterial except for some CBs and barring a small revolt risk, but the nobility if not displaced by the initial war will be easily displaced within a generation or two, and at that point the culture is basicly removed from the game).

Some ideas :
- High crown autority give the possibility to decide who get a title when there is no direct heir(Son/Grand-Son/Brother).
- In absolute crown autority you become the heir when there is no direct heir (Son/Grand-Son/Brother)
- Fixing the damn levy!
- An DLC for the 100 years war and make all the end game better.
- Create an unique engine for the HRE vote system. Basicaly the game pause and you can bribe the other duke the get more vote.
- Create an unique engine for the Pope. Bishop loyal to a king vote as their king, the other bishop vote for their favorite.
- A system to get noble(younger son) in the bishop position.

- A better faction system. Exemple : The duke of antioche like the medium crown autority. He don't like to be attacked by his friend from the byzantine empire but like attacking the infidel. So he join the medium crown autority faction. He get -10 relation with the liege if the crown autority is not medium but a +10 when it is.
So you can have faction for the emperor himself. Those guys would be the must loyal duke. But you may have some faction for the different son and when the emperor die, the different faction might fight between themself to choose the new emperor.

How about playable pagans? And I mean the real kind, not the Aztecs which paradox seem to have taken a sudden fancy to.giving the Mongol hordes attrition, cap it at twice the normal supply limit but at least put a limit of some kind
Take away some of William the Bastards boats so Harold Godwinson actually has a chance of not being crushed by either Norway or Normandy
Make decadence break up large Muslim realms instead of replacing their ruling family

A few more filters for the character overview. A more detailed age filter, e.g. if you look for a suitable mate for your son, you cannot only decide between adult yes/no, but rather between age X and Y.

I got another one:
Higher crown authority should allow a liege to take sides in vassal conflicts.
Maybe a diplomatic option "Stop your stupid infighting" which should be rather hard to get accepted, maybe depending diplomatic skill, relations, crown authority and duration of the conflict. Unfortunately, I can see a few balance issues, that either it's too easy to stop your vassals fighting or it's so hard it's practically of no use anyway. But I was in a situation where my ageing king of Sicily wanted to switch succession laws to stop the demesne from breaking apart, but there were two counts fighting against their duke and another count. They could siege the dukes holdings but didn't have enough manpower to siege the other counts holdings. So the warscore stayed at something like 60% and only rose very slowly over time due to occupation. The whole conflict took over ten years to resolve, if I remember correctly, and I was extremely lucky that my king, going against the trend, actually managed to get 72 years old.

The stupid facepaints on christian and muslim african rulers need to be removed. Why Axum and Abessinia ( i don't know if other african provinces have the same problem ) have no techbase whatsoever is a mistery to me. Apparently Paradox things, just like they did in Europa Universalis 3, that all of sub-sahara africa of the game's timeframe just managed to discover the creation of fire.

Take a peek at Russia & the southern baltic shore.

In any event, its a fricking scale. Would changing it from 1 to 7 (or 4 to 10, lowest is 4) really change your perception of gameplay that much?

A political way of life

Take some stuff of europa universalis, concerning especially :

diplomacy : alliance in eu way look better and have a major political mean, (not to take off actual family-political sistem, but to integrate this one with political diplomacy style of euIII ) some example, military access , alliances , maybe coalition and so on (have more options its better !)

warscore and goal with peace negoziation : the old fluid system of casus belli and peace negotiation was really better for me ,

i believe that the new system is a bit poor in terms of dinamicity , i also believe that a great improvement can be achieved by adopt some old euIII mechanics

No more thanks, last words please...

I really liked and enjoied the last dlc of Bizantium, especially for the introduction of retainer add-on , i find this stuff....genially!!

and in conclusion if a dlc or axpansion with some political improvements come out i will sure buy it!

Some things I really want to see;

- The ability to intervene in inter vassal wars. When I'm Emperor, I don't want to see my despots attempting to usurp each others kingdom. For a large prestige and reputation hit, I want to intervene in these conflicts. Either the aggressor stands down with a single rep hit or my intervention will plummet the entire realm into Civil war.
- The ability to change leaders during a siege.
- The ability to prevent your relatives from marrying their cousins.
- The High Kingdom of Ireland and Principality of Wales. Extremely dynamic growth and demise of a Highkingship. Neighbouring realms can get special CB from Pope to invade entire Kingdom (like Henry did) but will fight all the realms.
