1.08 crashes on initializing sound

Hi.
I made clean install (got game patched to 1.07). Game can run normaly but it freezes whole computer after 10minutes or so.
I upgraded to 1.08 and now I cant even start the game. It crashes to desktop on initializing sound..

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you unpack the files into the AoD folder, overwriting existing files (and not into a subfolder)?
This may generate some problems with a Steam version or other distributors but should be fine with Gamersgate or retail version.

I unpacked over the old aod files.
I got game from PcGameStore.com
Ok I'll try unpacking into separate folder.
