I would please, what are the main arguments/ trains of thought made in these books? And how should these affect AoD (i.e. does China need lots more IC or infra or....?)
industries, most modern type industries where mainly light industries, distributed thought china, concentration in the major trade cities like Guandong, shanghai, tianjin, roads where basically pre industrial outside of those area's
AOD;
Infrastructure, the chinese did not manage to develop any serious rail infrastructure as it was already dependend on the widespread canal and river transportation system, outside of these the infrastructure basically remained very low though a lot of work was done in the central area under nationalist control (nanjing shanghai area) (river provinces high infra 40-50, 20-30 nonriver/non coastal)
IC, china has been short changed since early beta of hoi 2
Shanxi
beiping (4 IC) & Tianjin (4IC) where both major industrial cities, tianjin was a busy trade port as well as a development area for foreign investments , i would suggest both 4
minor; Taiyuan (capital 3IC) + Shijiazhuang (2IC)
Yuling, iron and coal deposits,
Datong, hohhot, coal extrations
Guanxi clique
Guangzhou 8 ic, major development area for foreign investments, including the Guangdong Arsenal
Hainan, iron extrations
Jiangmen, Tungsten - 5 rare
Yunnan
kunming, Jinhong, wenshan, metals total around 30
kunming - industry, foundries and metal works 5ic
my guesstimate for total ic of china and all warlords is in the range of 60-70 ic in 1936 based on what information i have read, 3/4th placed in eastern china (CHI,CGX,CSX)
overall, china exported a good deal of resources (energy, metals and rare materials) in 36-37 so providing a general boost to them would be beneficial, see attached map for regions though take heed it is a 1971 map not concurrent map
other fun stuff, china has had a lot of forts and fortresses built thoughout it's history most of which had some influence as bases of operation for the chinese armies though limited combat
if you are refering to me?And especially: Which resource values should those provinces in the Yunnan area have?
yunnan produceds mainly copper, tin, lead and zinc... they where major producers of copper since the three kingdoms and the rail network served, guestimation around 30 metals - direct sources are in chinese and i do have a little trouble reading those
