The "add_division" event command no longer seems to attach CAG's to CV's as it used to do. It still works fine in attaching brigades to land units though.

The command line from the event-command file that I am refering to is:

type = add_division which = [name] value = [div type] when = model where = [brigade type] # Brigade model is always the latest. If a preceding add_corps command has been used, the division will go to that unit, otherwise to the force pool.

Does Argentina make or have transport ships though?

That would be nice. Also, IMO, Vichy France should ask to join the Axis if the entire British Isles has fallen.
SMEP has events for both of that, though it might not work completely well with the new patch.

Could there a simple command be added? It would be useful for changing a division's morale without having to do it manually by modding the save game (morale seems to always get back to the country's current value at every reload - at least in my experience).

I guess the new command line should be like this:

As to my recommendation about making nortern Norway I'm not so sure anymore. I've now had two people say having anything larger then a division in Norway was a logisitcal nightmare but then someone else, from Finland pointed out such a thing did occur with this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lapland_War

How "soon" will it be? :confused:

I hope not before more than one brigade can be added to ground forces by means of the misc. file as with naval units.

I would much rather have the convoy system re-worked so that convoys/escorts and submarines would be actual units on the game map... ; )
Way too much editing to do for 1.08. And submarines are actual units.

IMO this could be a suggestion for 1.09 or 1.10 if gunman really has it in him as it would require a lot of work and balancing. I really want 1.08 to come out sooner rather then later, unless there're won't be a 1.09 that is. :)

Indeed it would :D Your suggestions would also enable the player to send units to aid during a convoy battle, rather then having to wait until the convoys are already sunk to figure out where the enemy could be. But then again this would probably lead to submarines being even more weakened, balancing would be needed.

Haha, I might be able to do so tomorrow evening. I still need to play the (in-game) month as I have been caught up with real life (as well as the 1.08beta and playing AoD online). :)

Well, not to contradict you, but are we really sure that this change would be so difficult to implement? It would require a bit of balancing, agreed, but I don't see it as a complete revolution compared to the current system. Of course I'm no programmer so things might appear much easier to me than for a dev, however I sincerely think this idea is no "science-fiction", so to speak.

At the end of the day, there would be the need to add a new icon/counter for convoys (and I can lend a hand with that) and to "translate" the current, invisible convoy routes to the actual game map. All the current automation (i.e. convoys creation/deletion, and the seazones chosen by them for sailing) would stay, provided that the player could change them if he feared that a certain convoy route would be under too heavy a risk of being attacked by airplanes / surface raiders / U-Boote etc.

Easier said than done, I know; but not so terribly complicated, either. I'm confident this will be in AoD, sooner or later :) .

By the way, I'd gladly welcome an expansion for AoD - at a price of, say, 5 or 10€ - which would feature this new convoys mechanic plus some additonal things (I'd be pleased even if it would consist primarily of bugfixes, rather than new options for the player. I already enjoy the game very much as it is, the convoys thingie is maybe the only great feature still missing, IMHO).

The name of it could be something along the lines of: "Arsenal of Democracy: Battle of the Atlantic". :cool:

For the convoys, would it be at a scale of 1 for 1? If so this would be adding thousands of units. How would the player be able to manually control an individual route? Surely they'd have to automate it or manually control all of it if the current system would be kept.

Easier said than done, I know; but not so terribly complicated, either. I'm confident this will be in AoD, sooner or later :) .
I hope something like your suggestion, or just some general balance to naval warfare is implemented. But it would take a lot of time, IMO.

I think would be great as well but I think Paradox would've done so earlier if the game was more profitable.
