Before 1.07c it worked like this:

- Create map and save
- Upload to workshop
- Exit game
- Open map in workshop, subscribe
- Start game
- In content manager are 2 entries, the upper is the subscribed, the lower is the local one
- Usually there were 'Upgrade' buttons on both entries
- To upgrade I opened the upper version in map editor (the subscribed and downloaded one)
- Save
- In content manager choose 'Upgrade' on the upper one

Now:

- There is only a button 'Upgrade' on the upper, subscribed one
- I open that one in map editor as usual and save
- In content manager I choose 'Upgrade'
- As it looks, after 2 tries, the local untouched version is uploaded, the title and description are changed and the upgrade log doesn't get a new entry

So, I had to reupload my upgraded map twice to a new workshop ID.

I really don't like that.

I found a workaround...

Come on, do I really have to find a workaround?
  1. after saving the map, go to main menu, to content manager
  2. the upper entry got 'Update' button, click it
  3. Alt-Tab out to desktop, check the folder c:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\WorkshopStagingArea\
  4. There is a temporary folder, like cf7f1d49-a462-4faf-add5-f35147932746, it's randomly generated somehow
  5. Inside that folder is a PreviewImage.png, if necessary replace it with the most current from c:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Snapshots\ - there are project subfolders, find the right one
  6. You will immediately see the new snaphot inside the content manager upload window when you Alt-Tab back in
  7. Inside that folder is a subfolder 'Contents', inside that is your map file *.crp, replace it with the one you saved in c:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Maps
  8. Don't forget to copy the description of your map inside the workshop to clipboard because while updating it will be overwritten - you can edit it back in afterwards
  9. Click on 'Update'
