[1.07] [bug] CTD when merging units

I am playing patch 1.07, no LoR DLC.

My army is composed by several units and is besieging the County of Forez. When I select them and click on "g" to merge them, the game immediately crashes to desktop.
I tried three times and reproduced it every time.

I include a link to the savegame. I am the Kingdom of Italy.

This is a CTD, a pretty game crippling bug.

Well...I looked at it, but I couldn't replicate the issue. But I'm also no a dev so...

I tried loading and selecting them: Pressed "g"; clicked merge. Didn't crash on either occasion. Also tried loading and waiting for the other troops to move to Forez and tried pressing "g" and also merge, still no crash. So unless I am missing something, I do not know how it is causing a ctd in your case.

I use no mods, and my checksum is COQS. I have patch 1.07 and several minor DLCs (faces pack, music, etc.) but not the major ones (Arabs/Byzantium).

I manage to reproduce it consistently, but for some reason so far it happened only in the Forez province. Weird.

I do not doubt that it is crashing, I have seen many weird things that took ages to figure out and replicate. Also tried to replicate with no DLC what so ever, and still doesn't cause a CTD for me.

Unfortunately, that savegame will not load for us, so we cannot attempt to reproduce this case. It could be helpful if you are able to reproduce it on your end, you could upload a zip of the logs you receive after crashing and we could have a look at them?

Good catch. Interestingly, it only happens when I use the "g" key. The merge button works fine.

Assuming windows? Check my documents or equivalent and there is a folder for paradox > CK2 > logs.

Do you have anything running in the background, which uses the g key as a shortcut? May be a background program causing a conflict. But do as the paradox QA guy asks, they may be able to find the issue easier then guess work.

Just stop using the "g" key, nothing good ever comes from it.

Cerogravian, which log files do you need exactly? How are they called?
