Recently conquered islands shouldn't just magically become supply depots, there should be at least a one month waiting period before it can be counted as a supply hub.

Bluestew said:Hard coded Fang. However you can edit the save file to make forward islands national territory thus reducing the logistics hit.

There are many threads about the 1.06 editor in the bug, support, and mod forums (and in GD but they get pushed off the first page pretty quickly). Editor in 1.06 is broken; you could try using the 1.05 editor (it was updated in 1.05). The programs most serious modders use are just text editors, starting with Wordpad/Notepad, and others use Ultraedit, TextPad, Scintilla, etc. (I haven't used anything beyond Wordpad yet). EDIT: There are also user-made editors for some things like leaders, ministers, and events. Those things couldn't be edited in the official editor. Check the mod forum and mod download forum for those.gregebowman said:Since no one answered my questioned earlier, I'll ask it again. What the heck is wrong with the editor? I try to open it, but only get error messages. Is there a way to correct this? I was told there might be other programs I can use, but I'm not sure which ones I need.

Checking my history, I didn't need 24 divs to land on some godforsaken island to root out a couple divs of Japanese troops. Well, I suppose I could just tac bomb them to death in total ahistorical fashion (airpower is entirely too effective in HOI, IMO, but that's another issue). Hell, Guadalcanal was basically a slugfest against equal numbers of troops and with superior support the US and Aussies won. Try that in 1.06.
It is hard for the game to show island hopping because the game has troops in terms of divs. In real life their may only have been a company or bragade or two on an island so think in terms that you would need 5x their number to beat them. So if they have 1 div you need at least 5, i think the game does a good job of this.
