I know that someone on these forums was complaining about really strange succession law changes occurring in the mid to late game, and I am now experiencing this bug as well.
I have several lord mayors in the duchy of Tripolitania and Cyraenica, and these mayors have been around for several generations. Suddenly, one of them dies and I notice my personal demesne has increased. Apparently, after one of these lord mayors died, his city went to me, the queen. I look at the titles, and all of them say Primogeniture succession, with me, the queen, as the heir. I then look at all of the Lord Mayors in Tripolitania and Cyraenica, and lo and behold, all of the cities therein have Primogeniture succession with me as the heir designate.
This can't be right, cities should never be Primogeniture.
I know a lot of people have reported this bug, where strange, nonsensical succession laws hit Prince-Bishoprics and Cities (Prince Bishoprics becoming elective instead of investiture, cities becoming primogeniture, prince-archbishoprics becoming primogeniture, etc), especially in the late game. What is the current status of this bug? Has it been confirmed and is due to be fixed?
If needed, I can upload a save file showing this odd primogeniture behavior.
