Just set your nation to dark brown. This, oddly enough, is the nice purple of Byzantium. Which only two other nations have;

Brazil, and the mughal empire.

I like the new political map colors, though I'd gotten SM's colorscales mod before so they're no great suprise. Many thanks to him for his efforts.

However, as with when I installed those, the religious map change sort of bothers me. That weird light brown color for Catholic is somewhat unpleasant. Is there any way to change what color atholics gets, or should I just deal with it? :)

That's also the only problem I got with it. I got SM to PM me the old catholic colours thingy and am now using that.

Come to think of it, he emailed me those some time ago. For the reference of other people with the same problem, all you do is replace the entry for dark grey in colorscales.csv with:

dark grey;;;
red;green;blue;index
220;220;255;0
200;200;250;25
140;140;200;35
80;80;100;64

and that'll take care of it. This information courtesy of State Machine, of course :)

Quite maddening. :D

Thanks E-M. Didn't Lord Barking Dog have a color mod? As I recall it was pretty radical. It did, however, have a consistent palatte, unlike the old and new EU colors.

Yes, but I downloaded it and it didn't work!:mad:

Edit: It's ok now, I did something wrong when downloading it hoho!;) Sorry Mr. Dog for not stating this lol.;)

I find that political colours are all right. It's the CoT covering-colour that somewhat bothers me; particularly the ultra green of Portugal, when seen against the white terra fog on the new world continents.

Cretins :D

I like the light brown for Catholic, especially when CRC is in play. Europe looks real pretty on the religion screen. But each to his own, and you and BiB are satisified with the change you posted.

Araanor, there is a limit (21 I think) to how many colors, and some colors are used on different maps (like the Religion) map further reducing flexibility. There is a thread in the Scenario forum from the winter that has lots of details.
