i'm playing a game right now and i liberated china-nanjing and they got Taiwan and a province i had in Manchuria. i dont think this should happen.
I would guess that 1.04 is inclusive of 1.03?
Only reason I ask is, Gamersgate lists 1.03 and 1.04 . . . ah well, I guess the time it will take me to DL and install 1.03 first then 1.04 is not much to be sure I have everything . . .

This happens because Japan has no cores on these provinces.
While re-doing the scenario files and revolters for the E3 map I discovered this feature, too, and simply gave Japan the needed cores to avoid such a nasty situation.
Yes, Japan should be given cores on Taiwan, they held it longer then Korea (which they have cores on) and it was very integrated into the Empire.
That was my line of reasoning, too. This and a bunch of similar (and many more) adjustments are part of the next update of the E3 scenario files.
