Just to give a bit more info to dev, is something like that happening?

  1. you attack a province
  2. you win
  3. you start conquering the province
  4. you're attacked while conquering the province
  5. you're defeated
  6. your troops are destroyed

or what is happening?

Just a stupid question: do your troops have low strength after the first fight and are simply destroyed because of that?

edit: I found that topic that seems to have similar problem:

... Meanwhile the Germans kept sending in a trickle of units which I defeated one by one. But this caused me to lose ORG each time and eventually over a few weeks the whole stack (like 70 divisions) completely ran out of ORG and disappeared!...

So maybe your troops are without ORG and they are disbanded (may it happen?)

I had the same problems, with Austria-Hungary, my precious troops are disappearing without any sign and reason. This is really getting on my nerves.
