Can you manually install it if you have AOD from Steam or MUST you wait for them to have teh patch?

IIRC steam uses their own versioning system... i think updating the files outside of their steam loader might screw things up with their system...

Not really, game can be update manually without problem - just like HoI3.

I have been playing with new patch as Soviet in 1936. While i have noticed a decrease in the speed, it is tolerable and I am happy with the new patch. I run XP with 2 GB of RAM. Processor is Dual core. i would say about 30% slower than before. Looking forward to 1.04 as I still think AOD is better than Hoi 3 even after their 1.4 patch. This game is just fun to play and easy to keep track of everything that is going on. Great job Lennartos and all who were involved with this game.

1.03 is out on Steam, but yet again there is no launcher like previous versions.

Distributing "through official means" only makes people who bought the game mad/frustrated because the patch can take forever to get to whatever site or program they bought it from.

Example: The post above mine, and a few other posts on this forum.

Is it just me, or does it often seem to be the case that the guys who have the most to complain about also seem to be the ones who have not gone to the trouble of registering their games?

I pay for ALL my games, and if there are any of you out there who are reading this who do not: drop dead. You're a criminal. The publisher, the developer, and we paying customers owe you nothing.

Now of course if you paid for the game, and have some gripes about patches not being available and what not, I can empathize, as a fellow paying gamer brother.

Pirates on the other hand are scum.
