Seems the game only holds around 30 or so colony names, because after a certain point the game starts repeating the exact same names. Many times once we reach 40-50 colonized planets, we may end up with 3-5 planets of the same name making it more difficult to keep it all straight. Add in that you may have 5-10 "shared" names and we have to spend quite a bit of our time to rename them all, one by one.
I see no need to have 5 of my 50 planets named "Cumelod"... Sounds like time to have a forum "contest" or special "colony naming" event.
