So Martin and AC have seen images I posted before of weird dissent growth despite producing enough CG in another thread before. I spent some time tracking down what was causing it and I found that a misc.txt modifier is essentially unusable (since modifying it can/is highly likely to cause dissent to go up despite producing enough CG therefore messing up the ai, or dissent to go down despite producing CG at need, messing up the ai)
The above modifier, if set to a value, say 0.7, will have no impact on the CG "Need" value, but will have an impact on CG "Demand" (or the impact on CG need could be wrong, didn't check out the values, just know need < demand). That is to say, producing at CG Need will result in positive change in dissent, therefore messing up the ai. Vice versa if value > 1.0. Thus, the only usable value for this modifier is 1.0.
If IC to CG Ratio is modified, Dissent Growth modifier's value seems to scale incorrectly.
Same as above, if IC to CG Ratio is modified, Partisan Risk (seems) to have an impact on the daily change in dissent. Could be coincidence though (I didn't see if overall IC was lowered in my multiple loads).
Would be good if this misc.txt modifier was fixed.
Code:
Misc.txt:
# IC to Consumer Goods Ratio
1.0 # 1.0
Code:
policy_effects.csv/minister_personalities.txt:
DISSENT_GROWTH
command = { type = dissent value = 0 }
Code:
policy_effects.csv:
PARTISAN_RISK
Would be good if this misc.txt modifier was fixed.
