Playing Italy. Germany was holding its own but Austria was being devoured by me and Russia. I had taken its Croatian and native Austrian provinces, including Vienna. Then suddenly it peaced out, with I assume the leader of the Entente. It gained everything back that had been lost to me and Russia and my entire army in the occupied provinces was disbanded, about 35 units.
End result is I had a whopping army of six infantry + colonial garrisons and no territorial gain from a country I was close to being able to annex. So, err, what?
