I'm almost sure this has to be a known bug, but since there's no thread listing known bugs I start this thread.

on the production tab it says my troops need 1k supplies, so the ai set the slider to produce 1k.

but the real consumption is very very different... it goes like this:

home produced: 1k
convoyed out: 2.5k
usage: 0.5k

so I get 2k negative supplies and I have to manage the sliders manually (which sucks)...

anyway to solve it ??

Does anyone of you have a save game with this problem reproducible?

sure... (there are some mods (cheats :p) made.. to reproduce it just make your production bigger than the available IC, and wait the game to start convoying resources to the islands)... (u should also remove some models I added - played as canada)...

it's not a hard to find bug anyway... the production tab does not calculate the supplies you convoy out... it just calculates how much supplies your whole army (and allied) consumes in your controlled provinces in a daily basis...

but the game actually need more supplies, cause in every island u have troops there'll be a depot storing supplies...

those supplies getting stored in those depots are not contabilized as "consumption", but them are begin drained off from your main stockpile making it negative...

u could address it making this calculation on the production tab: resources convoyed out + supplies consumption by troops in connected by land provinces + - trade...

then u'd be producing what your army's consuming directly from your main stockpile and what your army IS or WILL consume (but being drained from your main stockpile now) by the islands depots or not connected land depots...

pd: I don't know if the same thing happens to oil and the conversion from energy, but it'd be a good thing to try...

I cannot load your save-game file with 1.01.

Supply needs calculation (and production) is based on the estimated usage of all own and allied units that are supplied by the country. This includes all units currently supplied from a supply depot too. This is made so because convoys could take huge amount of supplies one day and then no supplies for 2 or more days (and so is not reliable to be used as production base), and also because in the long run enough supplies will be produced. The model works pretty well in nearly all situations thanks to some extra checks in the code that trigger more supply production. BTW there was a bug with supply convoys going from masters to puppets that caused problems in one of the test games I have and it is fixed now.
