I have run into this for a while, every single time I do the Dathnak Relocation quest, as soon as the scientist starts the "research" at the planet, they die. Every single time, reproduced 5 different times now. This is regardless if the scientists is young, old, one was even a +25 year lifespan modifier and died at age 53.
