This bug is a somewhat rare, and while I have noted it as being posted on these forums, I have not noted anyone mentioning the case wherein it likely occurs.
With this bug, a bronze age civilization of some sort occasionally will "lay claim" to mining stations, research stations, and in some rarer cases, neutral or hostile non-empire AI such as crystalline entities.
In my experience, this occurs and can likely be replicated by a neolithic species rising to the bronze age while there are space stations in unclaimed space, and in rarer situations, non-civ AI fleets in unclaimed space which were recently destroyed (as I have seen crystalline ships "resurrected" under control of these new civilizations).
I have not yet found this in the 1.1.0 beta patch, so I am posting as under 1.0.3.
