I have a fleet of 25 corvettes, 12 destroyers, 5 cruisers, and 3 "raider" ships. I updated my designs from Deflectors to Improved Deflectors. For reference, here's how many are on each type that were upgraded:
  • corvette - 1
  • destroyer - 4
  • cruiser - 5
The upgrade cost for the fleet was 44.0 minerals. The upgrade is progressing at roughly 3.5% per month as eyeballed over two months. It'll take about three years to upgrade 44.0 minerals worth of tech, and it isn't like the hulls were replaced or other components added or removed; it was simply a Deflectors->Improved Deflectors change.

Surely this repair time is a bug. Surely?

BTW, you probably shouldn't allow upgrades to hull changes. That's too fundamental to the structure of the ship.
