I've been greatly enjoying this game over the past week, but I've run into a strange issue since the release of the 1.0.2 patch. For some reason, the game will inevitably and certainly CTD within about 30 to 60 minutes after starting, regardless of what I do. I've had it crash while editing races, while looking at the game start screen, while watching battles, while controlling planets, or in other words just about everything you can do, so I'm not sure it's meaningful to provide a save game. I'm using the Creatures of the Void DLC and no mods (I have Beautiful Battles installed but not activated). Initially I thought it might be due to some modding I was attempting to do, but the crashes continued after I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, taking considerable care to wipe the two directories containing game data, so I do not believe it is.
To be honest, I'm not sure if this is one bug or several, but I find it quite easy to reproduce:
In one sense this is kind of useful, since it serves as a kind of check on how long I play, but on the other hand...well, no one really likes the game CTDing, even if they really should have been getting up to do something else!
I assume you all want the logs the game dumped after the last crash (I know I would); there are fourteen files, though, are there any in particular that you want, or just all of them? I can also provide the save game I happened to be playing (though I don't think it's connected), but not the dumps, since there weren't any.
