Staring as the pre-defined Human "United Nations" race I quickly ran into a duplicate Sol system nearby. The planets were all present but titled Sol I, Sol II, Sol III, etc. Sol III had a primitive human race on it.

I am guessing this is not by design... :)

We even complained about this at the MP stream, hopefully they patch this out. I don't think it's a "bug" as much as they simply haven't programmed it to behave as we expect it in the first place.

Also, the sol system that spawns when playing as the commonwealth of man or a modified version of it is completely random. For example, while playing as a modified version of the commonwealth of man, a Sol spawned near me with primitive humans which does not make sense.

Solution to both problems - if a player starts on Sol, then it should be coded to be the only Sol. If a player starts on Unity, then Sol should be coded to be nuked or have the UN on it. This should fix all the human problems!

Why don't they just add the same feature to the existing species as the ones you get to make, then you can decide which of the species can appear in your game... now you just deselect the humans.

Humans could just have a forth option where they randomly appears as either pre warp or warp.

Hey!
We are aware of this issue and we will address it in close future. Thanks for your post!

What happens if you give a custom AI sol + earth and set them to force spawn in your game, but play in multiplayer - and another player picks sol + earth for his race too?
There should be some kind of pop up telling you that there's a problem, so you can either modify the AI or tell the player to modify his choice...
