This is (mostly) a repost of a thread I posted in the regular Hoi 4 forum.
Description: I'm playing as Germany leading the Axis (which Italy and Japan among others is part of) with Historical mode. It's now 1942 and the Soviets just went to war with Italy and are now moving troops through my territory to the Italian and Hungarian borders. Without Military access. Different factions. Not even a non-aggression pact. Italy is in my faction. HOW?!
If I were to help Italy now by declaring on the soviets they'd grab a bunch of my territory in 2 seconds.. Sure they'd run out of supply quickly but I just don't get how this should be possible.
I read something about being in a war against the same people (allies) can make this happen but the Soviets are in a war against both Japan and Italy and can move through their faction leaders territory without military access.
That countries who are in the same faction automatically share military access is fine, but otherwise isn't that what the diplomatic function Military Access is for?
For clarification I'm not at war yet with the Soviets because they were only at war with Japan until recently and I didn't want to jump in right away because I did not have troops on the borders yet.

Reproduction Steps: Be in a war against a faction like the Allies as Germany. Do not be allied in any way with the Soviets. Have the Soviets also be in a war with the Allies. Soviets can now automatically move through your territory without asking for military access because of common enemies.
