About three in-game years ago, Nat Spain took Gibraltar from the British. As Italy, when I took the Suez canal from the British - it completely drained the British out of the tub. Now, a few years later, the Americans have snuck a few submarines into the Mediterranean, and I scrambled my fleet to respond. Unfortunately, it seems that I've hit some kind of endless loop as the fleet keeps moving towards the Americans and the subs start trying to move away and never disengage. Of course, any additional ships I send in also engage but get caught in the trap - as do ships moving through the zone.
Naval bombers and things that should do damage to the subs don't seem to help as they are not able to enter the endless loop battle. It seems the AI is completely stuck!
