Was just wondering which spy-action is most used or reaps the best results.
Personally i like the assassination of leaders. Even though it only has a 10% chance of succeeding at most it is nice to see your oponent's ministers with IC+ effect dissapear one after one...

I do like Ian Fleming, a former english spy during the WWII, and tend to use my spys as he was himself used : get some blueprints, and protect my country by counter intelligence.

Ian Flemming is the Papa of James Bond for those who did not know (old books so it's legitimate if you did not read any of them).

Well, i like assassination missions too. *Please note, it is not a good idea to assassinate Josef Stalin. The USSR moves from -5% IC to +5% IC modifiers in the head of government position.

I know it's not a good idea but I often try to do so anyway, as well as trying to off Hitler whenever possible, if only for the alternate history *g*

It would be interesting if there were events for a non-Hitler-led Germany, or Stalin-USSR to have some different events to represent the course that those demogogues laid upon their nations.

Yes, that would be nice. I tried using event 2025 once to see what it gave but was a bit dissapointed with loosing practically all my best military leaders in the process. It seems logical that the radical elements in german society took out a couple of ministers too while they were at it but event 2025 is, IMHO, a bit overdone...

I wish you could assasinate leaders in your own country.
I mean, I wouldn't mind finishing off Hitler to get rid of that leader-penalty :)

In theory, a ton of smear campaigns against an enemy just before you went to war would be good. Revolts, lowered IC and TC, less effective troops...

Although you'd be unlikely to be able to do enough to have much of an effect.

Well, the USSR doesn't have the purge event if Stalin is not in power.

Another boon for having Stalin assassinated, I guess.

If you snuffed out stalin the maybe the war in the east should never happen?

OT: Did anyone see that Star Trek (the enterprise series that got cancelled) epsiode when they returned to earth of the past, the germans had over-run the UK and invaded USA because Stalin had been assasinated before the war and another politcal party controlled the SU, no bolshevicks(yeah I know SP!!) in power so Hitler didnt care about them.

A little far fetched but hey, you never know!
