From my USA experience they have enough land leaders to cover all existing units at gamestart. What they would need is air leaders though, if you don't reorganize the air units you don't have enough leaders till 1938.

Note to Denniss:

During preparation work for an 0.70 installer I noticed that I am lacking some files you sent me (or uploaded?) in August 2014. Those were the model_*.bmp files with CORE specific names but vanilla images, that need to be installed in the vanilla structure so they display correctly when using vanilla on a CORE install. I have all the Nation specific ones, but not the generic ones.

Or are no generic files needed?

2 issues regarding revolt.txt, noticed after I as post-Bitter Peace GER released all available puppets:

Any reason for assigning Province 198 (Gulbene) to Estonia and not to Latvia, not even as an extra?
After releasing BLR I could no longer release LIT because Province 208 (Wilno) was owned by Byelorussia.

Also, I noticed some corpses in the puppet cabinets:

Hi,

USA: Barly has enough Land type Leaders if it gets in an early conflict. So some more would be nice. Ideally ones that actually stayed in service for awhile. Could always use some OG for CD duty later in the game. Air Leaders would be really a nice plus up as we really are short there. So anyone solid would likely do.

Revolt: Worked.

USA air leaders:Generally speaking, the COs of most air divisions represented ingame before the war were no generals, but Lt.Col./Col. rank or even lower.
For example, 6th Composite Group in Panama was commanded by Lewis Brereton 1931-1935 as a mere major.
Or 1st Pursuit Group, commanded by Ralph Royce 1934-1937 as a Lt.Col.
Both those leaders are ingame, but have startdates of 1938/1943 when they became generals. Would it be ok to have them start in 1936?

I put up RC1 of my dynamic trade values. It may as well be included into 0.70. I already have a few small improvements in mind, but no time yet to test them, whereas this version has not exhibited any downsides over a number of games.
... Only one more week until I am free.

VIC event 4003 adds three corps named Groupement de Oran/de Algiers/de Tunis in those locations, but all three divisions are named "Groupement de Tunis".

Kennelly,

Yes USA and USAAC officers were kept at their "permanent" ranks, but were usually "jumped up" while in command of something "requiring" a General Officer. After their stint, they reverted to their permanent levels due to how the military worked back then. No surfeit of General Officers back then! One of the "benefits" of isolationism.

I will look into USAAC officers first, as most likely there are fewer to contend with. Getting the names is the "easy" part. Getting a picture, well...hopefully, Generals.dk has something. lol

This will be something that would wait until I integrated the new Map after the initial 0.70 release (so as not to make Teg nervous).

Vanilla should have a full set of generic images that are not replaced by a CORE install. Problem were the nation-specific ship images inserted by CORE as vanilla seldomly used nation-specific ones and relied on generic images instead.

Hi,

Air Officers: At the level we model it was relatively normal to have a Colonel in command of the unit. Going down to LTC is fine with me for the prewar period. Especially if the individual actually made BG in a reasonable period. This is simiiar to the situation with DD/SS units as well as GAR units. Can't get too wrapped up about actual ranks when we don't have proper Leaders available.
