I just hope the next patch includes later start dates with more built up holdings. I feel that if I start in the current ones the AI will never invest in it's holdings, like CM and TOG starts.

They do. However, there is currently a huge anamoly where the boonies are usually the most well built regions, and the capitals tend to be woefully undeveloped. A lot of this is due to the fact that lower ranked nobles tend to have nothing to spend their money on except internal economic development, wheras the higher ranking nobles tends to only spend money on fighting which leaves none for internal devleopment in the King's demesne. This is a vanilla problem too I believe.

That or they gather a stockpile of thousands of gold and never use it at all, damn barons and mayors with their lack of building investment.

I'm not sure if the BM is in, but AFAIK the devs implemented a "Rise of Tiber Septim" event, similar to the vanilla event that spawns Seljuk.

Hopefully it actually works, the vanilla one with Seljuk never did work for me. One time it had Seljuk spawn in the pope's court (Pope was in exile in Hungaria at the time), and he did absolutely nothing on interest during his life.

I would hope that Tiber Septim would actually be playable, more like Charlemagne than Seljuk. I mean I don't see how they can put Tiber Septim in this mod and not give the player the chance to repeat his conquests and maybe try to avoid his mistakes.

I've seen plenty of AI investing in holdings in Old gods and CM.. and i've seen alot of it in EK as well. I kind of don't mind if it takes the AI longer then players to build for any number of reasons. It just seems more organic this way.

The lack of taverns in even major cities at game start in 1.5 is my biggest problem in terms of infrastructures. I mean what city can call itself a capital of a nation without a tavern?

That's probably a good thing, considering that the 1066 start is ridiculously built up, especially compared to what it used to be (pre TOG). Take a look at the Christian realms in Iberia and realize how ridiculously beefy they are.

There aren't any steppe like nations in the mod as far as I know, the closest thing to it would be the Kamal and they use ships which the Steppe people don't tend to use. So I doubt it will affect the mod too much, no the free patch that comes with it is where all the real delays will probably be.

Forts as mentioned earlier in the thread the other day are going to be interesting, but the Silk Road especially interests me, maybe we could have something like what EU:Rome did with holding certain key parts of the map gave you economic boosts (Along with army/navy/learning boosts).
