hey, since multiculturalism is an almost constant factor in EK, can there be a law that reduces/increases different culture penalties? maybe in exchange for more or less MTTH when colonizing a province?

So I guess you fixed Vampires committing suicide by peasant/cattle, eh? So, eh, how long ago DID get get outed? Was it when people realized a human had lived for 400 years? Or did they wait for almost 500?

He was lucky, he spent a few hundred years with the vampire events completely borked (my fault, I did some tweaks and missed a bracket, this is why we beta test), but he was only 300ish when I fixed that. He lived another 200 years without alerting anyone. He got outed about 20-30 years after the screenshot was taken. He has managed to get enough 'Crushed Major Revolt' modifiers to completely offset the 'Known Vampire' modifier, so I imagine his reign will last for awile longer. His high martial skill/traits probably helped them there.

I also noticed that one of my courtiers is a hidden vampire at about ~250 years old, but hes a damn good spymaster so I usually send him off to spy on foreign lands for technology.

Are you going to do some sort of an event chain to form the Aldmeri Dominion? As I imagine it'd be pretty hard to form it right now in your test game with basically no ships as Alinor and nowhere near enough troops to conquer both Valenwood and Elsweyr.

Well, good thing the Second Aldmeri Dominion only consisted of Valenwood and Alinor. Elsweyr was never incorporated into the Second Aldmeri Dominion but we have absolutly no details on how it joined the empire, other than that Septim's legions ended up making an example of an entire city that refused to surrender (based on the dossier of a Imperial general in Redguard). Considering what little we do know, we could probably predict that the Empire's conduct during the entire ordeal was an embarrassment so the entire conquest was scrubbed from official records.

Overall, one of the suggestions is to introduce a 'Subjugation' casus belli where empires can vassalize entire high kingdoms in one go. This will probably be used for both the Aldmeri Dominion (we can give Alinor some event troops/ships if they are too weak), and the Septim empire as it expands over Tamriel. As I said before, the 0.1.6 Septim implimentation is very, very rough and barebones. A start more than anything.

i hope so. according to the wiki, the thalmor consolidated Valenwood and the Summerset Isles, and expanded into elsweyr by adding pellitine and anequina as client states and reforming the elsweyr confederacy. it should be noted however that it's not explained whether that means all of elsweyr, or just pellitine and anequina.
But isn't Anequina the northern half of Elsweyr and Pellitine the southern half? Wouldn't Anequina + Pellitine = Elsweyr?

I could get behind this.

At the same time, though, if you do do this, it would be nice to also implement a "Cultural Chauvinist"-type trait that sort of serves as the culture equivalent to religion's "Zealous," as not everyone in Nirn is likely to be quite so inclusive.

Unfortunately, we had attempted to impliment something like this and it never worked right. So we removed it. The main issue is that the culture penalty modifiers simply do not work when used in a crown law scope.

If i remember correctly, i've seen a law in Lux Invicta, that while implemented gave my character "tolerant" trait raising his religious opinion with other faiths. Maybe that way?

The problem is that it would require SELIN-style province events, I used to work on the Lux Invicta team and those events were a -huge- drain on performance.

Tamriel in 3999, or, shortly into the 4th Era.

Yup, Tiber Septim shows up. At this point hes still a WIP, in theory, he will form the Tamrielic empire if he has the Amulet of Kings, but only the Cyrodiilic empire if he does not. The event chain for him is pretty simple and barebones, and there needs to be a lot of work done on things such as CBs.

Here is the current ruler of the Cyrodiilic empire. Shortly before the Septims are thrown off the throne because Tiber's successors end up being imbeciles.

Now, the star of the show has, unfortunately, not been Tiber Septim, but rather this guy, a High Rock vampire who claws his way to the throne of High Rock using just county conquest CB. Test game is currently 4030ish and even after being outed he is still clinging on.

Looks awesome, so it will be like a Tiber's Conquest scenario? Like the Aegon's Conquest scenario for the AGOT mod? :)

I have no idea how Aegon's conquest works (im not too familiar on the inner workings of the AGOT mod, I only played it breifly about a year ago), so I cannot answer that question.

Basically a personal event chain where Aegon can attack the different kingdoms in an order of his choice, one by one, until he decides that he has conquered enough (an option that shows up after the first few conquests); at which point he gets events for deciding where his capital should be, whether to convert to Faith of Seven or not and so on.

It would certainly worked, with Numidium in the role of Aegon's dragons (basically "i win this battle" button with low chance of dying), but what's the fun in it?

Unlikely. Tiber will probably have a vassalization CB for unified High Kingdoms. Not sure how hes going to deal with balkanized states, though.

It would certainly worked, with Numidium in the role of Aegon's dragons (basically "i win this battle" button with low chance of dying), but what's the fun in it?

It also wont work because it requires the target high kingdoms be unified, which they may not be.

Also, Tiber only used Numidium in the conquest of the Aldmeri Dominion. He managed to conquer, or negotiate, the rest of Tamriel.

oh wait, i was thinking of the EK map which has 3 other kingdom titles in elsweyr.
In my game there are only 9 kingdoms in Tamriel and they're all High Kingdoms, all of them have been united. It's funny when the map is pretty damn big compared to the amount of kingdom titles.

Two empires as well.

hey novacat, is there any way to attach a condition to a religion? part of the post made by wraith_magus at the 2nd page of the interesting characters thread got me wondering about certain religions having certain attributes, well... attributed to them by default.

like the sheogorath cult for example, shouldn't you be insane to follow the madgod? i mean, sure it'd be crazy to hold him in any particular reverence, but would'd it be true insanity to worship him as a primary deity?

or sanguine? lust, sloth, gluttony, and greed are all traits and are his bread-and-butter. literally: "He also has domain over the darker natures of man, such as lust, sin, sloth, gluttony, and greed."

...seriously though is attaching traits doable? because this could add a bunch of extra character to the daedric cult religions what with events that go with the traits.

tell that to sheogorath and namira followers. they'll call you sane and/or try to eat you:rofl:

EDIT: or maybe you could gain relevant traits as a result of religion-specific event? like going to the shivering isles on pilgrimage. and understandably coming back totally insane.

Just because someone worships a diety does not mean that they will, 100% of the time, always exhibit the diety's preferences.

No, but we could get some events that give you a choice between adopting some trait associated with that daedric prince or losing piety or negative approval with vassals of your religion or something like that. Flavour events are always nice. I am against compulsory adding of traits though.

Ex.:
Sanguine Event

Something about feasts blah blah blah yay Sanguine blah blah blah

Option 1: Gain Gluttonous and lose Temperate if Temperate. Maybe bonus piety too.
Option 2: Lose piety.
Option 3: (Available for Temperate only) Lose Temperate, no change in piety.

Obviously that's a bit bare-bones on the flavour but you get the idea. Religion-specific events are always fun.
