Werewolf Lite CXXXIX: The Health Care Debate

Setting:

Current day America. The newly elected President's honeymoon period is fading fast. The democrat majority is attempting to ram a health care reform bill through the legislative process, and many people don't like it. From the critics, there have been cries of socialism, communism, health care rationing, and just plain dumb congresspeople. From the supporting side, there have been cries calling the protesters mobs, Nazis, "astro-turf", and racists.

Who will win? Only time will tell.....

Is that lady in the green shirt's arm broken?

Rules:

There shall be seventeen (17) players. Special Roles will be handed out after the last person signs up.

The game will then proceed to a Day deadline.

The game is divided into two periods - night and day. For practical reasons these two periods take place at the same time, from one update till the next.
Each day, all players gather and decide to lynch one of the players - the person they think is most likely to be a werewolf. Each night, the werewolves decide who to kill. In each 24 hour period, the village will lynch, and the werewolves will hunt. The villagers can try to lynch multiple people by creating a glorious, Lemeard-approved, TIE, and the werewolves can also decide not to hunt anyone at all at night. Beware of Crovaxian slips as well!

Winning:

The werewolves win if they manage to reach parity with the villagers.
The villagers and seer win if they manage to kill all the werewolves.

Player Roles:*

1x Nancy Pelosi (Seer): The leader of the village. Can scan one target each night, revealing if they are a werewolf or a villager. If you lynch him, I will laugh for 5 minutes.

4x Health Care Protesters (Werewolves): The people not wanting to socialize health care. They may choose one person per night to convert to their side. (They may hunt one person a night and kill them.)

12x Congresspeople (Villagers): The people trying to push the bill through. They are looking out for their party and for self-interest, but their constituents have different ideas....

Roleplaying:

You are to pick one of the sides of the health care debate, and role play as a member from that side.

The Deadline:

DEADLINE FOR VOTES AND OTHER STUFF IS 20:00 GMT
A vote posted at 19:59 will count. One posted at 20:00 will NOT!
Voting Ends At Deadline Even If Game Moderator Is Not Present!

Other Rules:

§1A. - You sign up to the game by requesting so in a post in this thread.
§1B. - No new players will be admitted after the game has started, EXCEPT if substituting for another player.
§1C. - You may at any time be substituted out by requesting so in the thread.
§1D. - Players are responsible for any Private Messages (PMs) missed due to inbox being full.

§2. - Orders and votes submitted after deadline are ignored.

§3A. – Players will vote daily. Should they not vote, THEY WILL BE REPLACED (or hit by lightning). There will be no exceptions unless the Game Moderator states otherwise.
§3B. – Invalid votes (Voting for Game Moderator/Ghosts) will not be accepted.
§3C. – In the event of a TIE, BOTH (all) players will be executed.
§3D. - The player(s) with the majority of votes at deadline is considered dead. He will not reveal any inside information after the deadline.
§3E. - Before day 3, a player will be subbed for missing a vote, with [post=10004541]special[/post] care given to the seer. After day 3, all non-voters will be hit by lightning, NO MATTER WHAT!

§4A. - SPECTATORS AND GHOSTS MAY HAUNT, TAUNT AND FLAUNT, BUT NEVER SUGGEST ANY COURSE OF ACTION OR REVEAL ANY INFORMATION. ANY ACTION WHICH CAN AFFECT TO THE OUTCOME OF THE GAME IS FORBIDDEN. ANYONE CAUGHT DOING IT WILL BE *PERMANENTLY* BANNED FROM PARTICIPATION. NO EXCUSES ARE VALID.
§4B. - When doing ghost/spectator commentary, please use a non-white color.
§4C. - When speaking normally, I (the GM) will be using the normal white color. When I speak as the GM, I will use the bolded orange you see here.

§5. - Alliances and Feuds which aren't based on your characters or roles in the game between players are forbidden. Alliances and Feuds which continue from one game to another undermine the whole idea of the game.

§6A. – The Game Moderator has the last word on all matters.
§6B. – If the Game Moderator makes a mistake (e.g. with the vote count, hunt/scan orders), if critical information has been revealed, the mistake will be kept.

§7A. – Forging PMs is allowed. Screenshots of PM's are not.
§7B. - Posting or quoting of PMs from the GM is allowed, but I may or may not confirm or deny the contents of that PM. It will depend on my mood.

§8. – Voting must be done in the following way. Write "VOTE" and the person you are voting for in size 4 bold text. For example:

VOTE OrangeYoshi

If you wish to un-vote someone, write "UNVOTE":

"UNVOTE OrangeYoshi - VOTE the_hdk"

(it is curious that this rule is in here, but not everyone listens to it :p)

Any other type of voting will not be counted and will make you eligible for subbing. In case of re-voting without un-voting the original vote will be the counted vote. DO NOT EDIT VOTES AFTER POSTING THEM.

§9. - The GM can and will remove players if the GM believes the player is not participating at his/her full capacity. This will be done through the use of killing the player's role, or using substitutes, if they are available. All such decisions are made solely at the discretion of the GM. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE GAME IF YOU KNOW YOU CAN'T PARTICIPATE.

§10. - EUROO7 will deal with all medical problems.

*If anyone cares, I don't actually think the congresspeople are the goodies. I always root for the baddies, so I made them the group I would feel good rooting for. :p

Isn't it 'Deuce' in stead of 'Duece'?

Apparently 'Duece' can also mean 'Shit'. Just saying... ;)

And the 10 millionth post was... meh boring  ;) The 9 millionth one was in a WW game I think :D

EDIT: The 8 millionth apparently.

And I think you'll have to sign me out :(

My time schedule might fit but it also just mightn't, so I'd rather not risk it :/

Most likely, that is only counting the current number of posts here. I bet the number in the url doesn't subtract the number of posts that have been deleted (spam).

Just try it. Click to open this post in a new window, and look in the url to find this number, "10005150".

No roleplaying anyone? Shame.

Want to know something interesting? Click on the post number to open it in a seperate tab, then change the post number in the url by 1's, 10's, 100's to take you to random posts all over the forum. You can't find the first post though, I tried.
