so i am at peace because you constantly assure that you wont just roftlstomp everything into world conquest ;)
and you say you won't reject a collapse if you don't win :)
I won't do a world conquest because I am here to provide a (good, I hope) story. And my feeling is that a good player tries to achieve a WC first, which is natural. When this player gets better, he just find them unrealistic, boring, and finally unchallenging. I guess that my modesty just took a hit :ninja:

You've destroyed shit loads of British divisions. They must be struggling to train more men since they also have to build ships and airplanes
Yes, a lot, and more to follow :) It must certainly mess up with the priority assigned to the AI. But they don't have to be worried with their manpower; intelligence reports that they have 6,000 available
They should leave me alone, or almost, until the end of 1941.

so you are going to leave that free afrcan republic to itself?
Freedom is a relative concept in the Reich.
For now, Ghana is useful since it keeps busy some Englishmen. Later, they will prove to be a nuisance because they have a beach, and that they probably won't be able to protect it, leaving my flank opened. Even if they had no beach, I would take them down because they are Left-wing radical and that I don't want to have them joining the Comintern. This would create a 3-side war

how's your oil doing?
Pretty good. My stockpile is almost 150k, growing +20/day, 80 being imported (25 from USSR). Now, when puppet Iraq will send to Germany its daily flow of oil, I should get an additional +30/day.
My gut feeling is that I won't experience any oil shortage before 1946, assuming that I am still fighting USSR.

Hoping Iraq keeps the smelly Syrian partisans down, or at least gives them a nice Ba'ath. Yeah, I went there. This is what happens when you don't gimme Pan-arab fed :p Kidding, still in awe of work so far. Things are pretty good, even with Stumpff's current issues with bomb-eye coordination, leftists snatching parts of the British empire and opportunities to liberate governments being missed by the randomness of events.
Also, does Iraq not own Kuwait? o.o And damn, you plan on possibly fighting the Soviets into 1946? o.o

Hehe, I loved your little joke about a Syrian-Iraqi crISIS. :D

Irak was a country that I annexed before liberating it. Syria was a puppet as well, so I could give its territory to Iraq. But Kuwait is a British colony, and I can give it to Iraq only after that UK will have been annexed. So, it won't happen tomorrow.
That is the same reason why I can't give Morocco to Spain; UK inherited it from France. Perhaps should I edit the file, to get a result as if the event had worked as it was intended.

And just in time! These b...ds have changed the name of their "country" the day after I wrote this update. Now, I had planned to unite Iraq and Syria weeks ago. Call this foresight...

I wouldn't mind if you would edit Irak to have cores over Syria, perhaps when you are thone with the brits, give them that sticking out jordanian province.
but maan, we have caliphate now, jihad shall sprung all around, prepare for the crusades!

No, I won't do that as I want to keep the mod as un-modified as possible.

By the way, I am surprised that I didn't get any remark regarding one of the previous title. There was nothing in the update to which it could really apply.

At first I thought that was a manatee, and was trying to find some "oh the hu-manatee" joke. But methinks it's a Sealion - er, a seelowe - no?
My English is not good enough for this kind of jokes.
Now, yes, it is a seelowe :)

It is April. Obviously the Spanish Sailors are thinking about Semana Santa (Easter) and not focused in combat...
Not being focused is one thing. Having the worse positioning that I have ever seen is another thing. But, during all the naval battles having been fought so far, being fired upon at close range for 2 long hours doing strictly nothing (yeah, it could have been worse; they could have done friendly fire) before realizing that they should return the fire, they hit the jackpot!

If I may ask, what use is there even to starving Britain of her convoys at this rate? With the Mediterranean under control and the African theatre going as well, is it really worthwhile investing further ressources in the tonnage war?

At any rate, it looks like the Happy Time is growing to a close :(

I would say that you would have to ask yourself the following questions:
-Do I need to have UK reduced to 0 convoy to starve it? Specially if one considers that its convoys now have to go around Africa.
-What are these resources that are invested on Germany's side? And am I investing "further resources"?
-What is the impact of this one-sided naval warfare (at this moment) on the British economy?
-Is the Happy Time really getting to its end?

you really have to know if it does starve their economy... you hsould see it by having their end ic drop below base ic
It really makes me wonder, you should concentrate the now available sea and air resources on actually performing the sealion or preparing defences in case USA joins, which we know is not far after Barbarosa anyway.

ps: did my pm reach you?

Well, you have given them those convoys for free when you opted to annex France and therefore caused the Franco-British union. Sadly, in DH, every annexation of an alliance member nets the alliance leader all the naval assests, including convoys. So while the original UK convoy stack might have been manageable, you have now given them more than they ever need :)

As for starivng them out. I dont know it of the top of my head, but IIRC, the british isles are capable of supporting a rather high IC, over 100, from their native resource pool. So even if you completely cut thme off, what you will achive is merely a reduction in IC, not a starving out (nor does any surrender option trigger at zero convoys, sadly).

What will starve out, however, are all their overseas troops. Since supply is produced in London and London only, all GB troops not supplied by other allies (meaning all GB troops in GB owned land not connected to any of their allies) will slowly starve to death. As of now, that encompasses maybe their Far East posessions. So nothing much.

I am not going to open the save as UK anyway (and I think that the game has not been closed for the 3 last weeks). Regarding Sealion, you will see. And about the USA, my current attacking stance is also done in such a way that the Axis bases can be used defensively (and NAVs will have no use against USSR)
Yes, I got your pm, on my tiny screen phone. I didn't know what to say, but I thought that my answer during the update was relevant. My apologies if that was not the case.

Thank you for the comments.
You made a good point regarding the French convoys/escorts which went under British control. I have to admit that I didn't think about this.
Now, and I should have been more explicit about this, I want to starve UK for the purpose of the AAR/storyline, but I don't intend to succeed. I already know that it won't be possible for the reasons that you have explained. Even if I succeed, between the Home Islands output and the existing stockpiles, UK could supply its factories for few more years after losing its last convoy. The only way to starve UK will be with a massive campaign of strategic bombing, and I am very far from that. Even like that, UK could receive its daily requirements through trading with the USA.

But there are several things that I intend to achieve by threatening the English supply lines:
1-To divert part of its production to convoys/escorts
2-To sink as many ships as I can. This will create options for me in the future, and this should definitively help Japan in the Pacific/Indian Oceans.
3-If possible, cut the supply to overseas troops. I don't expect it to succeed, but they will be easier to take out if they are not supported by the Royal Navy.

So, the bottom line is that I am fighting the convoy part of the Battle of the Atlantic only for the story.

has not been closed for 3 weeks? yo urunning it 24/7???? :O
ok.
Nah, its ok, i just wondered if you did recieve it.

1 will it in game matter? i found it in hoi that those sheeps are really as cheap as zimbabwe money
2 i dont think japan will have it easier, perhaps it should if usa will be forced to cover more water the brits wont be able to anymore.
3 rendering oversea regions as big pockets... that wont work... you have other countries connected to them and those lands are big enough to produce their own supplies. perhaps oil could be scarce, but thats it.

if anything, your AAR will be a proof or disproof of usefulness of this convoy hunt.

When I write an update, it is not uncommon that I check something in game. Also, I prefer to avoid cutting ongoing actions -like a fight-, something which happens frequently upon saving/reloading.
Regarding your other comments, we will see (and me first!)
