Generally yes, but I also like to start to get activate in the later part of the game. Get too activate early and you get hunted early. That and I had family over for the first week of this game so was out a lot.

As citizens went to the polls for the fourteenth time - some were finding this endless electioneering rather tiring - Sandi Toksvig's Women's Equality Party, oddly, issued an instruction not to vote for them. Baffled, enough of their voters went along with it, and they duly finished last and were eliminated.
Calling a press conference after the results were announced, their strangely emotionless leader gave her speech, then pulled out a handgun and shot into the crowd, which included many dignitaries from opposing parties. Although she was quickly bundled off by security, the National Socialist Paradox Werewolfers' Party suffered a blow as their charismatic moustachioed leader had been shot.
That wasn't the only political murder, as someone managed to get into the house of the first-in-command of the Democratic Front for Democracy (Democratic Faction) and strangled him.

I think the game's over either way. Despite killing baddies every single day it's stacked against us. No game should go that way, although a fair few have.
