Hello AARlanders!


As July creeps upon us with frightening speed, it's time once again for us to look back over the past three months in celebration of the brightest stars shining in the majestical roof fretted with golden fire that is AARland.

For this quarter's awards, we'll be continuing on from the precedent set by Avindian from last time around: namely; all voting will be centralised into this one thread. As ever, all AARs updated between the 1st of April and the 31st of June (inclusive) are eligible for contention. You may nominate up to four pieces of work from each of the following games:

Crusader Kings II
Europa Universalis IV
Victoria II
Hearts of Iron III
Darkest Hour

In addition to these, each voter is entitled to nominate four AARs in the "Other" category, including all Paradox games not mentioned above.

I don't believe there's a hard rule against it, but I think it goes without saying that it would be frowned upon were anyone actually to do so.

If there isn't a hard and fast rule against it already then there probably should be, it's been an unofficial one for as long as I can recall.

We're roughly halfway into the voting period, and we've hit ten ballots. This isn't a bad start, but I think we can probably do a bit better. Many, many thanks to everyone who has voted so far (and please do remember to spread the word). Your support of AARland and its authors is greatly appreciated. Alternatively, if you've reserved a spot for your ballot, please make sure don't do what I did last time around and forget about it until it's too late.

More nominations outside of Vicky2 would be helpful for the awards presentation as well. Get out there and read my fellow AAR enthusiasts.
