Demo error - help requested

Installing the EU3 demo to get an idea of how it runs, I get an error message saying i need 128 MB of video memory to run the game - I use Windows Seven, but beyond that I am a computer imbecile, so any advice (primarily what is video memory) and ow I can fix this?

Video memory is memory shared or dedicated for any kind of movie/picture etc.

You proably do not have a dedicated video memory card and in the demo this was a problem that was fixed in patches.

You could play Victoria 2 right?

Yes, perfectly well.

I think it is because in demo version, it wasn't fixed yet so that won't work.

Compability

• If the game fails create a device with the resolution settings from settings.txt it will start in the same resolutions as the desktop.
• If the player has less the 128mb graphics memory the game will still start but display a warning. This will make the run on computers with shared graphics memory.

That is your problem, Demo is 1.0 not 1.1 so you cannot play

You can also download the Heir to the Throne demo which would be based on later code and should run where the original demo would not.
