Prologue : The Iron Islands
The Iron Islands

Just as the Vale, the Iron Isles are surprisingly seclusives since Aegon and Daenerys's return.
Maybe because there had never happened good things for them when they drove Targaryen attention...

And indeed, his reintegration to the Iron Throne was brutal. All in all, Euron Greyjoy only ruled for 10 years after evicted Asha and Theon Greyjoy before Targaryens's dragons were seen roaming the islands.
He shall find death by the hand of Grey Worm during a coastal battle in the Isles, before his killer found his own death two months later by Quellon Humble, another Ironborn.

His son Quellon, who was a far lesser good leader, quickly bent the knee to Aegon.
If his reign was quite unremarkable on himself, his kin counterbalanced it.

It was during his reign that Asha shall die, putting a end to her sad life of Ironborn's courtier's wife in 8340.
Theon, who had been sent to the Wall by Euron shall be killed in 8302 by the White Walker chief in an heroic attempt to restore his image in the eyes of Jon Snow.

Quellon's half-sister Brella was way more ambitious and bold than himself. Maybe too much, as she attempted to raid King's Landing in 8357, only to finish in the maws of Sonax.

In 8370, with Quellon's only son on the throne, the Iron Islands took a whole new direction.
Thanks to his marriage to Rhaena Targaryen, an Aelyx's daughter, the Greyjoys became allies of the Targaryens. However, Westeros discovered that the one who shall soon be called "the Bloody" had a true love for plots and murders.
Quickly, the Iron Islands became a land of assassinations and kidnappings. Slaves and salt wives were more commons than ever, despite lacks of raiding.
Somehow, thanks to kindly surveillance from her powerful brother king Aegon VII, Rhaena manages to dodges all this plots and survives during 12 nightmarish years, before Euron finally get murdered by an even more ruthless Ironborn.
But since, the Greyjoys are seen as dishonourables to say the least, and have an equal reputation than the Freys in Walter's days.

Today, it's his stubborn son that is ruling the Islands. He showed to be an average Lord Paramount, but manages with an incredible constancy to be rude toward the Iron Throne.
Worst, he is actually planning to murder a Targaryen's uncle of the actual king.
As Hagon and Orys nearly hate each other, things can get out quickly and dragons visit once more the Iron Islands...

The Greyjoys sound like they are keeping up the family traditions, good and bad.

Oh, and I forgot to tell it, but as Hagon's wife is his mother's sister, his firstborn was inbred before die because of this, and his only daughter too, but she is still living actually.
In fact, his children that don't have high valyrian ethnicity are all inbred, kinda funny.

EDIT : AAR is stopped actually, the dev of "Bigger Interface for AGOT" updated his mod; and Steam don't save anywhere older version of it. As I'm on 2.8.1.1, I asked him if he could give me a link to the older version of this mod, because I think it offers a real confort for the screens.
My game currently crashs because of this update, so I'm actually waiting.

Prologue : The Westerlands
The Westerlands

Well known for his wealthy mountains and his powerful, well organized and well-equiped army, the Westerlands did little when the Targaryens came back.

Meanwhile her brother Jaime was beheaded by Aegon, Cersei quickly withdrew to Casterly Rock. With her marriage with her cousin Martyn, 20 years younger than her, she will had a daughter called Sirona, quickly nicknamed "Dumb Siro".

Though nobody ever seen the young Tommen after he came back with Cersei to Westerlands, rumours said that he somehow died in the dungeons of his own mother for unknown reasons around 8303...

Myrcella will found her death a few years later by the hand of his cruel husband, the Stormlands Lord Paramount's brother Arrec Staedmon, maybe because of the valyrian sword "Widow's Wail" she had since Tommen's disappearance.

As Cersei was not popular among the Westermen, either skilled as a ruler, she was quickly deposed by her vassals who put her 9 years old daughter Sirona, who managed somehow to get back "Widow's Wail" from Arrec Staedmon.
With "Dumb Siro", growing, every vassals tried to manipulate her for their own gains. It was hard for the young woman, who was multiplying mistakes, the worst surely when she wed in a regular marriage to an obscure old westerman courtier. Every advice was self-interested, and each of her own decision were terribly disastrous.
Things went quickly as Sirona was more and more brutal and vindictive to her out of control's vassals, and envious of their smartness she was obviously lacking, despite her intensive studies and poetry attempts. One day, as she felt pregnant, Westermen decides to get this farce over with. And that's how she met her end on her throne, stabbed by a bunch of blood-thirsty vassals, under the eyes of her corrupts guardsmen.

Then it was her father who recover the throne.
Even if he wasn't a great Lord Paramount, Martyn's rage manages to reinstall some order in the vassal's ranks during 7 years, before meeting his fate by Aelyx's hand.
The fact that Westerlands minor lords were constantly pushing the Trident and Reach's lands to extend their own territoriy irritated the king Aelyx, but the day Martyn personnally tried to invade the Reach, and refuse to stop it under Aelyx's order sign hiw own death warrant.
With dragons on his side, Martyn was quickly brought to King's Landing before being beheaded after his judgement.

Hoping that the son would be more reasonable than his father, Aelyx agreed to give the kingdom to Josua.
But he only managed to get caught in a plot against the king's close family.Weary of this Lannister's branch, Aelyx stripped him from his title and gave the Westerlands to the Port Lannis's branch of the family.

Kind with his family, Tyon brought a ransom for his far kin, and gave him some territories near Riverlands's frontiers.
That is the only major action he did during his short reign of 2 years, before dying in 8332 from disease.

His 1 month old daughter Sallei only ruled until her 17 years old, majority under regency before being dismissed by her ambitious uncle Jaime Lannister.
Tired of his boisterous Lannister vassals, Aelyx quickly end the new reign of Jaime and put one he could trust : one of his kin.

He choose Sallei's husband Laenor Targaryen, grandson of Aegon and Daenerys.
Despite being called a "False Valyrian" by his "pure" kin because of the loss of special valyrian ethnicity through a generation, the fact that he was married to the ancient Lord Paramount of the Westerlands was a clear advantage of legitimacy to the eyes of Aelyx.
Laenor will rule fairly well for 11 years before being assassinate by his definitely unruly Westermen's vassals.

Only 9 years old when she get the throne, Valerion proved to be a great ruler despite not particularly skilled. To be gregarious and just, with a passion for feasts seemed to be just enough for the Westermen, even if it leads him to be called "the Rash". He would ruled for 20 years before being wiped out by disease in 8381.

Today, it's his son and his daughter who are ruling the Westerlands's Targaryen branch, nearly since their birth. In pure Targaryens tradition, they are married together, and already had two children.
They are known to be absolutely insanes, maybe more than king Orys himself, the one as well as the other, and their daughter is following the same way, though it's actually unknown for their newborn son.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks to the modder quick answer, I was able to post this today. Hurray !

Just give the Westerlands to the Greyjoys. They'll murder each other in short notice and do all the clean-up for you.

Well, certain Targaryens were always fond of gold. :)

Insanity. That bodes well. :p

Prologue : The Reach
The Reach

Breadbasket of Westeros, more thriving, populous and fertile than even the Riverlands, and nearly as wealthy as the Westerlands, the knights of the Reach stand high and proud behind their lords.
Despite the usual quarrels between Reach's lords, they always manages to keep some strengh for outsiders invaders, and are one of the most disciplined nobility of Westeros up to now.

But since early Aegon's invasion, who quickly revoked Lord Paramount's title from the Tyrell once on the throne, it's no longer behind the rose that the knights regroup, but behind the 3 oaks of the Oakheart.

This is this old Reach's familiy, who can recall their line to the legendary Garth Greenhand and his foundator John "the Oak", on who fell the responsibility of the Reach.
Although signs of his crazyness were clear, Olyvar will ruled for 9 years from his ancestral castle Old Oak and his Oceanroad territory, while the Tyrell kept Highgarden.

His son will solve this matter in 8323 taking everything to the hands of Mace's son Willas except Poolbrook (here Mandergué) lordship, hanging him for good measure after let him rot 4 years in his dungeons.

His sibling Loras and Margaery will die way later than him, as Loras died in 8337 in a trial combat versus the Lord Paramount of Dorne for the king Aelyx, and his sister rather in 8349 as an old wife of an high lord of the Reach.

At the young age of 32 years, the brutal death of Quentin surprised everyone.
Thanks to his marriage with Aelyx's sister Alysanne (who shall be wed to her brother after her widowhood), the Oakheart new generation were granted with silver hair and fascinating eyes for their vassals.
Sadly for Morm, who inherit of the throne at 11 years old, he would not enjoy his life as Lord Paramount as he died 10 years later by a severe disease, without spouse and children.

Then arrived his brother Ben.
Ruthless, ambitious and first (and only for today) Lord Paramount's dragon rider, this born-to-rule character, more than every other people made tremble all Westeros.
Even Aelyx, who was known for his phlegmatic and confident personality, began to worry of this troublesome vassal.
His fears were confirmed as during 13 years Ben Oakheart did one provocation after another, caught in numerous plots. Until the day he crossed the line : the day he plotted for the Iron Throne.
Enought was enough : with 6 thousands men and 4 dragons, he asked for Ben's surrender, which, to the great relief of everyone, agreed.
Thanks to the many proves of his treachery, Ben was rapidly judged as a traitor. Due to his cooperation for his arrest, Aelyx decided to send him to the Wall, where his skills and his dragon Darkfyre (and not Viserion as I said in the Wall's post, I'll fix) would be put in use.

Thanks to Darkfyre, Drogon's son, the Night's Watch will defeat several Wildlings invasions led by kings of Beyond the Wall, before felt in an eternal sleep in 8397 because of a mutilation, 3 years later after Ben's death.

Since Ben's departure, it's his daughter Estalia who rule the Reach, since her 5 years.
Diligent, kind and attententive woman, she make a perfect peace-time ruler, and a quiet and loyal vassal for the Iron Throne, in contrast to her father.
With his first Targaryen's husband in conventional marriage before his assassinate by a Reachmen's lady, her heir is his Targaryen's son Aemond, who is actually studying in the Citadel.

Even if the Targaryens aren't masters of the Reach yet, they are already well implanted in the region.
With Ben betrayal, the Oakheart loose their ancestral castle Old Oak, and Balaeron is the second generation of Targaryen to hold it.

I present you the numerous Aelyx's children !
Due to some inheritancy troubles, Cockleswhent get into Westerlands's hands. Aelyx decides to seize the lands and give them to Matarys before offer him as a vassal to the Reach. Rhaegal's son Alerion was of a great help when unruly Matarys's vassals started to rebel, and he can often be seen flying over Ashford castle,

Harp Hall fell in Targaryen's hands for same reasons, as Riverlands had somehow it from distant heir.

Also, since 8386, the Citadel was moved to King's Landing since the high lord of Oldtown, Raymund Hightower seized the Citadel from the Archmaester Alleras due to a personal feud, before kill the said Archmaester.
The maesters, terrified, asked to the king Aegon VII a new place for their studies. The king agreed, and graciously offered the castle of the Dragon Gate to the Citadel.
Since, the maesters are plotting the fall of Raymund and ask nearly everyday the help of the crown to get back their stronghold.

So there is disquiet in the Reach, maesters against Lords ... whichever way one looks at it, that cannot be good.

I see Targaryens are going all out on hegemony over Westeros by using their sex organs.

Prologue : The Stormlands
The Stormlands

The Stormlands. Known for their untamable climate and inhabitants, they saw much troubles during this last years.

Soon after his invasion, Aegon gave the title of Lord Paramount to an ancestral family of the Stormlands : the Staedmon. Alesander, unjustly known as "Pennylover" for his tremendous talent in stewardship, had lived the war of the Five Kings since the very beginning, behind Renly Baratheon, then Stannis, Lannister family after the Battle of the Blackwater and finally Targaryen after the brutal invasion of the Stormlands by Daenerys Targaryen.
Despite being excommunicated by the High Septon, Alesander cleary enjoyed to deploy his stewardship on an hardship up to him, ruling the realm for around 30 years.

The son was not as skilled as the father. Despite his martial instinct during battles, Addam only managed to hold the Stormlands under his grap by machinations for his 13 years of reign.

Unfortunately for his grandson, Aelyx Targaryen decides under his reign to put a stop on the continuous expansion of the Stormlands through the realm by inheritancy and fronteers wars, especially within the Crownlands.
Arrec foolishly refused to gave the Crownlands's territories under his hold, and the dragons were once again unleashed inside the Stormlands.
With Arrec dead, Aelyx redistributed lands in Crownlands and even inside Stormlands, as the Staedmon expanded really much inside the very realm, and choose as a new Lord Paramount a totally foreign and promising valyrian family from Volantis : the Nogarys.

And the Nogarys came. In number.
Even if only only two of them had titles, with Benerro as Lord Paramount and Colloquo as high lord of Tarth, Aelyx observed a massive exodus of Nogarys to Westeros, spreading in their Nogarys's holds, in Westerosi courts, as nobles exotic wifes and of course as Targaryen's wifes, with Aelyx as one of their precursors. Through the years, their number only increased, with many offsprings.
But not everything went well for the Nogarys : the Stormlanders took off their due.
Colloquo was tortured, blinded and castrated before being forced to depose himself in favor of his last son, as the firstborn was killed in a trial by another Stormlander.
Benerro had a tough time too : 35 years after he received the throne, Bryce Staedmon, Arrec's granduncle, regroup the Stormlanders behind his banner and conquered the throne for himself relegated Benerro to his highlordship of Shipbreaker Bay.
But it wasn't enough for Bryce, who executed Benerro one year after his conquest.

Shrewd, talented stewardship much like his father Alesander and more important than all, Stormlander, Bryce ruled for 13 years, only had to crushed some rebellions from zealots's vassals who thought his excommunication would be enough to win a war against him.

When his son got the throne, he was already 49 years old, with much of his life already done. Today, he's passively waiting for his own death, loyal to the throne and passing his time in his library, reading a lot.
As Nogarys also sprang up in the Stepstones kingdom, by inheritancy the high lord of the Southern Stepstones also became the high lord of Shipbreaker Bay, only prompting more tensions in this part of Westeros.

BONUS

Here is the last living Barathon, red priest and grandson of Stannis, waiting for his death and the final note of this bastard's branch of the Targaryens.

Rather interesting the last Baratheon is a Red Priest. Quite poetic

Baratheon family had insane troubles for keeping their dynasty in a good shape, despite numerous Stannis's children. Shireen branch had only one child for 2 generations before died, Stannis first son had one child who became a maester, second son had only daughters, third was in matrilineal marriage and fourth son's son finally became a red priest.

That's funny you said that Captain Waffles, because that's exactly my objective in this game : valyrianise the Westerosi nobility, by culture and / or ethnics. And I have to say I'm in the good way, at least for Lord Paramounts !

Prologue : Dorne
Dorne

The Principality of Dorne had always a rowdy relation with the Targaryens, since the very beginning of the Seven Kingdoms. The Dornishmen lived and continue to live in a nearly total isolation from the rest of Westeros, very rarely seen to choose a side in conflicts, just as they always did.

As Targaryen came back happened in late Doran's life, few is known of relationship between Doran and the Targaryens as his gout put Dorne under a regent until his death in 8315, making him the only one with Olyvar Oakheart to die as Lord Paramount under Aegon VI's reign.

His daughter Arianne took the power at 39 years old, still beautiful, known for her carnal appetite and for driving mad the men of her principality with her seductive skills. During 14 years, the realm stayed quiet, as for Arianne, if seduction couldn't work, daggers for sure could. But this would not last with the new prince...

Gerold was Arianne's son, with valyrian ethnic as his father was an Essosi valyrian (nothing in common with the Targaryens).
Gerold had nothing special, maybe not a incredibly skilled man, nor a great administrator or diplomat, but nothing like a mad or tyrannical ruler, except his ruthless way of resolve problems and problematics people.
In their childhood, Gerold and Aelyx had squabble, a quarrel that would have graves consequences as since this moment the two boys became rivals. Once the first became prince and the second king, they soon continued their rivality, and extended it to the kingdom, grabbing every opportunities to offend the other.
This last for 6 years until Aelyx decides it was enough and invade the Principality, deposing the prince, who finished his days in some distant city of Yunkai.

The king choose to give the principality to the husband of Gerold's younger sister Sylva, Myles Martell, who was also her cousin.
He would soon be called "the Oppressor" as, inebriated by the power, started to act tyrannically against his people. This, plus his absolute incompetence in sociability will make him one of the most hated dornish of the history.
Fortunately for the dornishmen, Myles died in 8351 at the young age of 35 years, followed one year later by his wife Sylva, infected by the greyscale.

Loosing both his parents in two years, Arthur became the new Lord Paramount at 13 years old. Thanks to his sibling and talentuous tutors, the young dornish grew in a kind and hardworking man, proud of his origins and very close to his family, great commander and fighter and somewhat deceitful as his father's inheritancy.
His two daughters were both Aegon VII's wifes before his death, and his two youngest sons grew well too.
Arthur can be fore sure proud of his close family, but with now 62 winters behind him, everyone is waiting for the old family patriarch's death, and the new generation arrival.

Bonus

I forget to tell it in Westerlands prologue, but here's what happened to our beloved Tyrion.
Soon after the succesful invasion of Westeros, as Daenerys, I generoulsy rewarded Tyrion for his help with gifts. I also offered him a fine lady in the person of Ellaria Sand. For sure his taste for women had been filled with her !
Sadly she died in 8308, and Tyrion made his widowhood until this time. After worrying incidents in 8325 that led to Daenerys's death and Aelyx arrival to power, Tyrion exiled himself to Braavos where he died two years later, drowning in his alcohol.

So Dorne still does its own thing, to some extent at least .

Martells are still in power, I must commend you and your game on managing to keep those bastards in Dorne. For me ususally, they annihilate each other in about 2-10 years.

Hi everyone, I just want to let you know that the pace of the AAR gonna slow down.
Until today, it was one post by day, but I can't keep this step endlessly, as I have exams next week. I'll try to finish the prologue in the end of the weekend, but until 25 June, expect radio silence.

Prologue : The Stepstones
Prologue : The Stepstones

Pirates's home, the stepstones are now part of the Seven Kingdoms by an Aelyx's whim around 8335. Tired of their raids on eastern part of Westeros, he decided one day to once and for all conquer those nine isles and integrate them as part of the kingdom, invading them one by one.
On those nine petty lords, only three of them were wise enough to simply subjugate themselves to the Targaryens and their dragons, to the great deplaisure of Aelyx, as he would put Essosi Valyrians instead of the pirates lords, just like the six others.

Despite these new vassals with doubtful loyalty, Aelyx gave Bloodstone and autority under the surrounding area to his brother Otherys, who soon proclaimed himself as Lord Paramount of the Stepstones.
Before died by a disease 11 years later, this mad lord provided to the Stepstones exactly what Aelyx wanted : an iron hand to make pirates to heel and calm the ambitions of the new valyrians lords.

When Otherys died, Aelyx get once again the title to himself. He waited 4 years for his child to reach his majority before giving him the kingdom.
Tactful with his vassals, brave against the pirates rebellions and close to his family, Maegor granted to the Stepstones nearly an half-century of stable and wise reign under his lead, allowing economic and social developpement to the islands who were only known for their outlaws's dens. Thanks to him, it was in this region that the valyrian religion started to expand, not only in the noble standing, but in the population. Bloodstone was the first place to have a majority of Valyrian religion believers.
In 8388, he discovered that by some Nogarys's inheritancy, he had won a chunk of Stormlands's territories.
He died peacefully by old age in 8397, leaving the Stepstones steady for his son.

Even after only 4 years of rule, Haerys is clearly greater than his father. Master of diplomacy, his vassals, who all love him, are dreaming of a mighty kingdom of Stepstones, and call him "the Golden Dragon".
Worrying enough for him, he has only one son living actually, and even if one of his daughters could take the lead after him, it will be tough for her to rule pirates.
Hopefully enough for the throne, the ambitious Haerys is mitigate by the dragons of the Iron Throne (though his mother ride Drogon and he had a one year old dragon, Kastax, Viserion's son) and Braavosi raids on his isles, who had increased since the Ironborn takeover of the merchant republic.
Until today, Stepstones had always stood behind the king. But what Haerys isn't like his father, and is clever enough to see the crazy glint in the eyes of Orys.
What will he do in this dark years ahead ?
