I recently came across this which might be useful for inspiration for neo-socialist flags.

https://imgur.com/a/ZoaXw

I read that Reddit thread too, but while I love the flags, they mostly fit only for a Neo-Socialist Sol System. So basically Mar/Earth/Luna and whatever other base there is in that system. Though the Artist also created a non-socialist set of those same flags, which could also be looked at if the decision to use these flags is approved.

Crisis of the Confederation Beta 0.12.2

Compatible With: Crusader Kings II 2.4.4
Checksum
: NLNW
Steam Mirror

This is pretty much purely a bugfix and balance release, addressing various issues that have come up in the thread - it really should have been released at least a week ago, but technical issues with my CK2 installation, combined with sheer laziness, made that impossible. Full changelog inside.

Where is the Changelog? I can't see it in the dl.

hey i want to form a jion confederation, but jion dont accept his flag ( i cleaned the cache und created a custom jion empire flag but the game dont show it)

why did you choose this name for jion?

what was your motivation for the other factions names?

This mod disappeared from Steam, only submods remain. What happened?

What happened is that I was tired and forgot to turn off the privacy of the new version. Hold on a second.

A question about Jion. Can they build humanoid space mechs by chance?

Space mechs, no, but the heaviest brand of power armor could be considered a light mech.

Flags are a goddamn mess in general, I'm afraid.

The faction names are mostly pretty self-explanatory, but if you really want to know:
  • The Terran Commonwealth: This is actually a colloquial name for the United Commonwealth of Terran States, which in turn grew out of the Homeworld Alliance after the Colonial Revolution. All of the worlds in the TC remained loyal to Earth, and are still technically divided among various Terran colonial powers.
  • Xingjie: Chinese for... actually, I forget what it's exactly supposed to be Chinese for, but it's basically "Land of the Heavens"
  • Tierra Celeste: Spanish for "Land of the Heavens"
  • al-Samawat: Arabic for, again, the Heavens. This is a recurring theme in the early colony names.
  • Zenye Nyota Angani: Swahili for "Star-Filled Sky".
  • The Frontier: Fairly self-explanatory.
  • The Centauri Reach: "Centauri" because it is in the direction of the constellation Centaurus. "Reach", because it reaches around the Centauri Gap, a void of relatively starless space between the Reach and Earth. (astronomers will hopefully recognize that I put a lot of work into making the are around Earth relatively accurate)
  • Xin Zizhiqu: Chinese for "New Autonomous Region". Xin Zizhiqu was open to free colonization.
  • Bianjiang: Chinese for "frontier" or "borderland". Bianjiang was Xingjie's state-administrated colony.
  • The Orion Reach: Similar logic to the Centauri Reach, although in this case the "Orion" refers more to the fact that it's on the edge of the Orion Molecular Cloud Complex.
  • Mukta Duniyeh: Hindi for "Free Worlds". Like Xin Zizhiqu, Mukta Duniyeh was settled by a number of independent colonists.
  • Tarka: Hindi for "Reason" (as in, logic and). This is mostly a reference to the Tarkans' Enlightenment mentality.
  • Avalon: Named after the mythical island from Arthurian legend. Fits in with the Arthurian theme the faction has.
  • The New Frontier: The Frontiersmen are not very creative.
  • Jion: The entire faction is just one giant Mobile Suit Gundam reference.
  • Strugatsky: Named after the Strugatsky Brothers, famous Soviet science-fiction writers. Most Strugatskite planet names are references to their works.
  • Novyy Edem: Russian for "New Eden", referring to the utopian dreams of the colony's founder.
The nebulas are all real nebulas.

Yeah, this is the next big bug I have to handle.

I actually find that stuff fascinating. It's great that you are creating an actual lore behind your universe instead of just making mechanics. It just makes the world feel more alive and it's a pleasure to discover new tidbits of the history of humanity!

Yeah. I've formed the Tarka Confederation a few times myself. It's ugly looking at a pitch black flag.

Seriously the only reason Tarka deserves a pitch black flag is if they are Hiver. After all, Hiver uses that same color.

All Empire class titles only have Black Flags, except the Terran Confederation.

Why is Sol system not revocable? I've just managed to seize control over the Confederation, but I can't move my capital to Earth for some reason.
