Hi all!

With the drums of war our new expansion Art of War was released on the 30th of October. Today we would like to share the renders of the two new units packs that were released at the same time as the expansion. On one side we have the Catholic League and on the other we have the Evangelical Union. These were the historical sides in the thirty years war, the protestant reformation, the catholic counter-reformation and the turmoil that these brought. These unit packs will bring their flair to the different soldiers of their respective regions, but who's to say they'll still fight for their historical side in your game?

Catholic League

Evangelical Union

Hope you find these interesting! If you have any questions or observations feel free to comment below!

Since Art of War also included changes for the French Revolution, will we see spirits for the revolution participants too?
For mainly France, Great Britain, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Preussen, Russia, Sweden, Bavaria, and Denmark. :)

Awesome, but the shield of Spain is a bit weird. What does or mean?

Wait a minute I just realized something. Spain, Köln and Poland don't use firearms? :O
Well considering their awesomeness they'll be fighting with a handicap! Nah just kidding, that they don't have any firearms for this photo op is mostly for variation, in game you will find them equally well armed as their brothers in arms.

The Spanish unit is shared among not only the nation of Spain but also Castille that historically became 'modern' Spain. Since it would be as odd for Castille to use Spain's coat of arms we've gone with a slightly more generic one.

Well, visually it looks nice but through historical point of view this is quite strange mix of the 16th century (Austria), early 17th century/TYW (Hesse, Salzburg, most of others), middle 17th century/ECW (Spain, France, England) and late 17th century (Denmark, Sweden, the United Provinces) uniforms. Or they will be present for the different levels of army technologies in different time periods?

The new Poland's model replaces the awesome Hussar model it got with the Hussars models DLC.

Also, any chance for a Renaissance pack with landsneckt and condotta infantry units?

Hahah good I you made me nervous :p

But according to my question about Revolutionary/Napoleonic spirits, something that's in the line?
