Greetings, survivors!

Thanks so much to everyone for your feedback through the in-game “Ladybug” menu, our social media, and on the forums - it's really nice to see what you all think of the game, and your discussions are helping to shape areas of the game we'll focus on moving forward.

General

  • Fix for issue where Sawmill or Logging Camp could harvest the same tree twice and one of the colonists would get stuck
  • Changed the way user’s Documents folder location is determined, fixes issues where the game would not start properly if Documents folder was placed in a non standard location (thanks MarkBrandenburg)
  • Colonists that got stuck on older save games are now freed
  • Specialists are now recreated if they were missing from the World Map when loading a broken save game
  • Restricting characters in Autosave filenames, prevents crashes when colony name contains special characters and the game Autosaves
  • Fix for broken save games where all colonists are stuck
Gameplay
  • Fallouts and Radiation sickness are less lethal

Oh, you! Reminder for those who haven't started their game since Friday: Your old savegames and such are in %userprofile%\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Surviving the Aftermath (you can paste this into the location bar in Explorer). The new location is in your Documents folder (for newer installations, that's in OneDrive). You can also tell you're affected if you have to agree to the EULA again.

still having an issue with running out of resources way too fast . my last game had only a couple piles of concrete on the colony map and the world map has had none so far and its 90% explored . need a concrete factory and steel workshop to produce these resources

I agree, we run out of resources on the map to quickly and the search on the worldmap is fun but is a drag even more so when the camps are so incredebly far away from camp.
Either make it so we can create our own resources or let them randomly spawn every so often.

Also, things to think about.
Herbs to grow for medicine, to help with radiation sickness, special medication can be made in a lab
Cotton can be turned into bandages for more simple injuries or clothes
Flax can be turned into fabric too for clothes
Clay around pools of water can be used to make concrete or bricks to build houses or oter buildings
Mines to get metal

This update created these conditions for me. :( It still is an issue i believe and for another poster that i have seen in forum.

I have numerous stuck colonists as well.

New crops are definitely on the things we want to add in the game, not just as food (we got plenty of those) but to diversify how different resources can be obtained.

Ohhh Bio plastic or some kind of new biological based science, I like that we discover a lab that has a number of new strains of plants that can be turned into materials.. Great thought..
