Good day to you all! Here are the patch notes for the 1.9 patch coming today along with the Green Cities Expansion! Hopefully loaded with a bunch of fixes and tweaks you and your cims will enjoy!

Please remember that a major patch like this will like render some mods incompatible, this is nothing unusual but can of course be annoying, our modders are usually incredibly fast in updating their mods compability however please do practice some patience as the patch launches. For the safest Cities experience we suggest turning off your mods until they have been updated to match the latest version.

Good news. It was on my list of things to mention. (It's a mental list, so things get forgotten a lot.)

Edit: I hadn't refreshed, and had not seen ristosal's comment. Funny that more than one person would pick out this one thing from a long list!

Just confirmed: Random disasters settings are disabled while you are playing a scenario.

I thought this fix enables random disasters for scenarios. LoL
Disappointed.

(For those who wants random disasters in scenarios: there is Disasters Enabler mod just for this purpose).

So the new patch is all cosmetics fixes and new content, but no base game CPU/Thread optimizations. In other words you added bloat that folks already on the edge of unplayability will now need to plan for by removing assets and playing smaller maps. Oh and you broke all essential mods without giving those modders early access to fix before today. Thanks.
 
Info view toggling + info view for district painting

I am really enjoying the DLC and update, a good job well done!

BUT (always a but!) when I saw Info View Toggling I was disappointed to discover that it didn't extend to being able to view zones while placing bus lines. That would be very useful.

That means i can build an american HS and european university for example?
 
And how exactly The Ultimate Recycling Plant works? It works with whole city, like other monuments, but have limited garbage collectors on its side. Does it mean, that it will collect all garbage from the whole city at once? I can't find out the exact mechanics.
