I've resumed work on this now. Nothing was done over Xmas (I'd intended to release a beta in the New Year) due to major PC issues, but I hope to have something out Easter-ish, assuming my alpha backup still works. :eek:o

Very Eurocentric at the moment... lots of work to do in India, East Asia, &c.
Looks very nice. :)
I'll definitely have to try this out, once you have something releasable.

From what I've gathered from your pic on the first post, you have given Ceuta/Tangiers (the northern Morocco province) to Portugal.

By that time the Portuguese had no control whatsoever on both cities: Ceuta was part of Spain (since 1640) and Tangiers *possibly* British (it was part, along with Bombay, of Catarina's dowry when she married Charles II).

Hope it helps and keep on the good work.

Thank you. :)

Naturally I used the 1648 scenario as a template, so that's probably a hangover from that. Also, quite a bit's changed since that screenshot. That was posted in the first week or so of me starting the alpha, IIRC.

Feel free to mention anything else, though. Any and all help is appreciated!

This is great news, I was afraid this had been abandoned :).
Not at all!

I've been wanting to see an AGCEEP 1700~ scenario for years, and 1718 seemed a good date so I went with that. I will try and have a beta out sometime over the Summer - but no promises, as I am notoriously poor at meeting my own deadlines. :D

Deadlines? Did somebody say deadlines?

Final 1.58 version is waiting for some other finished mandead's proposals. 1718 scenario could be included in another but special version, even only for this new scenario.

And time could be money elsewhere... ;)

Update

Plodding on with Europe, and I shall try and finalise the European N. American colonies tonight or tomorrow.

Indigenous tribes are more of a problem (though nothing major)

I could certainly use some help with the Far East at some point... :eek:o

Good! I had expected a bit faster work from you, after I fixed your scenario and all... :D

Quick run down on some of the east in 1718:

Safavid Empire
capital:533
owned: 487, 525, 526, 527, 528, 529, 530, 531, 532, 533, 534, 535, 536, 1529, 1530
stability: -2

I can't remember what Kurdistan and Daghestan are used to represent, so it might be the case that the Safavids should have both as well (473 and 487 respectively).

Baluchistan
capital:538
owned: 537, 538
vassal of MOG

Khorasan
capital:1531
owned:1531
relations: PER -200, AFG -150

Afghanistan
capital:1525
owned: 1525, 1528
relations: PER -150, MOG +100

I'm currently looking up India for you.

I also wanted to say thank you, as I just found the most amazing resource while trying to figure out what to tell you about India.

Shame that they print out so awkwardly, but these are probably the most detailed maps of Indian history I've ever seen. So much great stuff there.

I'm sure you already know of it, but this is my favourite resource when it comes to doing scenarios/map work.

Very good maps, IMO.

EDIT: Not just AGCEEP era - lots of good stuff there.

Yes, I saw this yesterday too for Orionis' files... Too bad I didn't copy all the ID files when I fixed AGCEEP province.csv for areas, regions and continents...

Anyway, we could have ids for another map, couldn't we? :D:eek:o
