I bought this and Two Thrones from GamersGate and it cost me whole 2€ to buy both of these games. :D

Haven't had much time to play them, because I got my copy of EU3 only last week. CotN seems to be fun game although not as complex as rest of the Paradox games. I love the setting, because this is interesting time period in Scandinavian history.

I especially liked the fact that non-playable area wasn't white like Terra Incognita in other Paradox titles, but there was nice pictures. Like dead champion Lemminkäinen and his mourning mother in Finland and Troll in Scandinavian mountains.

Is there any place where one can read about the meaning o f those pictures around the map? Or did you know that because it´s something obvious from your countries history?

Finnish image is resembles painting Lemminkäinen's mother by Akseli Gallen-Kallela who painted many paintings based on Finland's national epic Kalevala. In Karelia there is image of hunter, because there was no permanent agriculture in the region around that time. People used slash and burn technique of farming and mostly fished and hunted.

Large guy who sits next to mountains between Sweden and Norway seems to be either giant or troll. Both are typical characters in the mythology of the Scandinavians.

In Poland and Lithuania image shows Teutonic Knights fighting with the locals. They can be recognised from their symbols, like shield.
