it sounds nice...
narrative or gameplay, or both?

Cool, my Soviet AAR does a little bit of both too, so I'll be following this. :)

Chapter 1: Exercises

February 16th 1936, Segezha

2ya Korpus had just arrived to Segezha with 10ya and 7ya, who were continuing north to Murmansk for military exercises just like 2ya was to train in the swamps of Segezha.

Of course not directly in the swamps but in the area. Stainovich was surprised when he received orders to go to Segezha for exercises while the others had orders to stay south for the training, though all the exercises were to be held near the Finnish borders maybe to scare them, who knows.

It was pretty clear to Stainovich that the navy had the biggest exercises coming for them. The main fleet was positioned in Leningrad and was now commanded by the Grand Admiral Uljanov.

Stainovich didn't know what kind of orders they had been given but some said that the whole fleet was mobilized for something big.

The Northern Fleet led by Vice Admiral Petrov had also been mobilized.

Black sea fleet was the only one that stayed in port due repairs. This was because Admiral Gurlukovich had ran over a small fishing boat.

Eastern fleet patrolled the eastern coast as usual under the command of Admiral Ivanovich.

Was Stalin and the high command planning something big or just simply doing exercises and showing that they too had a military. This was something Stainovich couldn't know and all he could do was to follow the orders or face the shooting squad or worse go to Siberia.

Nice start. Maybe the Soviets are preparing to invade Finland or to scare them, so they will give in to the territorial demands in -39? :)

Maybe that battleship should have 99% strength, because it took damage from the fishing boat.

They had repaired it when the photo had taken :p

We shall see what the soviets are up to.

Peti wonders whether his Soviet cousin or sarge "Kurty" Stainovich the one who drives that tankl...

He has his own tank too that he likes to drive when he commands his men, also he uses it when ever he moves from place to place.

Now start a espionage war around the world. A wise ruler attacks only an defeated enemy. :D

There is all ready good amount of spies in the most fragile nations of the world, codename Operation Bayonet but we will talk about that later.

Nice AAR, SU is one of the most fun nations to play.

Chapter 2: Trying to steal our technology

June 19th 1936, Segezha

Stainovich was still shocked after the latest news. Secret police had founded two spies from his staff. How could have this happened while he tried to prevent anything like this from happening.

He was pretty sure that they had been there to try and steal information about the new technologies that the Soviet scientists had developed.

It really wasn't a surprise for him as there had been lots of strange things going on in the world. Italy had annexed Ethiopia just a month before and Guangxi had declared war on Nationalist China, who was now at war with Guangxi and the Communists.

During a terrific second I understood that Ethiopia had annexed Nationalist China...

Well done, killing spies and advancing in techniques... Now, some action!

I think action will start in -39 if we are lucky.
