And here is the spaBourbon flag to go with post #2983:

In this case, your 1.57 is not the official one. :p

This is from the .ZIP (I haven't edited it...) :confused:

Portuguese add-core events

I'm still not sure why we need individual events when the trigger conditions for the mass events are so easy to fulfill, but here's the mass event for Northern Brazil:

Code:
#(1615-1661) Portugal asserts its rights over Brazil
#by sturmvogel
event = {
	id = 260175
	trigger = {
		event = 3271 #POR: Governor Martim Afonso de Sousa in Brazil
		OR = {
			owned = { province = 199 data = -1 } #Para
			owned = { province = 198 data = -1 } #Marajo
			owned = { province = 200 data = -1 } #Tiracambu
			owned = { province = 183 data = -1 } #Amapa
			owned = { province = 202 data = -1 } #Parnaiba
			owned = { province = 201 data = -1 } #Maranhao
		}
	}
	random = no
	country = POR
	name = "EVENTNAME260175" #Portugal asserts its rights over Brazil
	desc = "EVENTHIST260175"
	#-#

	date = { day = 1 month = january year = 1615 }
	offset = 30
	deathdate = { day = 1 month = january year = 1661 }

	action_a = {
		name = "ACTIONNAME260090A" #It is our land
		command = { type = addcore which = 183 } #Amapa
		command = { type = addcore which = 198 } #Marajo
		command = { type = addcore which = 199 } #Para
		command = { type = addcore which = 200 } #Tiracambu
		command = { type = addcore which = 201 } #Maranhao
		command = { type = addcore which = 199 } #Parnaiba
	}
}

EVENTNAME260175;Portugal asserts its rights over Brazil;;;;;;;;;;
EVENTHIST260175;Portugal made no effort to colonize Northern Brazil until after the French established a colony there in 1612 at Fort St. Louis. Jerônimo de Albuquerque captured the fort in 1615 and used it as a base to establish Portuguese authority over the rest of Northern Brazil.;;;;;;;;;;

The individual events should have their start dates to conform with this event.

The 1.58 events numbering thread seems to have aged off the board, but the next POR event # available is 260176.

I renumbered all events related to Brazilian cores between De Villars' proposal and sturmvogel's modifications.

@sturmvogel: with new 260175, do we really need to keep individual events for each province of the area that is included in 260175 then?

I don't think so. All of the individual Brazilian provincial addcore events can be deleted, IMO, because the mass events are trivially easy to trigger.

In Napoleonic Spain SPA_285305 action_b event, shouldn't event FRA_170322 be slept instead of SPA_285306?

Currently, FRA_170322 will happen but what happens for action_a of this event if SPA_285306 is slept? Is the action simply removed and does war become unavoidable for France?

FRA_170322 is almost unavoidable for AI Spain. In my tests, Spain always stays a Napoleonic country until the end of the game if Napoléon is not defeated (or even fought...), despite Counter-Revolutionary movement in Spain that can't trigger sufficient revolts for the four provinces mentioned in the trigger of SPA_285311 to revolt at the same time.

In Pepe Botella SPA_285307 event, it can be strange to see Spain ceding Gerona and Catalonia to France if France doesn't own Béarn and/or Roussillon provinces. It is even more strange if Béarn and Roussillon are owned by Spain without common border with France there.

In the trigger of FRA_170322, couldn't we add a condition of an alliance between Spain and France or already existing vassalization of Spain to France? Without one of them, is there a "reason" why Carlos IV would call for Napoléon's help when he was replaced by Ferdinand?

Couldn't we enhance the Counter-Revolutionary movement events and make them really harsh for the Spanish peninsula (province revoltrisk)? It could depict better the Gerrilla that France had to face? Or maybe a higher and longer global revolttisk but does it make sense for Spanish colonies to be involved? Nevertheless, it could help independence of South America if not already made.

About all post 1808 events for Spain, aren't some not (or only) related to José? Shouldn't we add a monarch condition for some if not all of them?

Fine. Please amend your proposal and mention the involved individual events to be removed in post #3011. It will help me a lot.

Hmm, no page 2 or 3 was showing at all when I looked for it. Very odd, but maybe it's some weird artifact from Safari.
It could be because of the new forum too. "Ghost pages" have been reported for very long threads too when you want to move to the last possible page from the page just before but such move goes back to the page just before the supposed last one...

This works for both Alt-Iberia and Spain.
