I have the same issue on a 2021 16" MacBook Pro. I had been playing on 1.3x UI scaling (otherwise the text was too small to read) and that works fine for everything in the new update except for the Agendas list. Some help would definitely be appreciated--my eyes will thank you greatly!

Are you both on a higher UI scaling setting? Does reducing that help, if so?

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/settings.txt and pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log .

I reduced mine to 1.1 scale, and then I could see the Agenda menu, but that in turn made the text uncomfortably small. Here are copies of the files you asked for--not sure if that's the best way to display them though! Thanks for your help =)

Here are copies of the files you asked for--not sure if that's the best way to display them though
The "Attach Files" button here is the preferred way, FYI.

Right click on stellaris.exe , properties, compatibility. Tick "disable fullScreen optimisations" untick every other box in that dialog, Apply and exit.
Then in the launcher Game Settings menu, select fullScreen display mode, Vsync off, cap refresh rate to refresh rate 60.

Is that any better?

I don't have much experience poking around in game files, so pardon my ignorance! I play on a Mac through Steam. I'm not sure I have .exe files. I found the .app file for Stellaris (which I think is the Mac equivalent); however, I didn't see an obvious way to access its properties. Right-clicking Stellaris in Steam showed me some properties, but none of them were compatibility. Thanks for your help thus far!

Sorry, forget about the .exe part, that does not apply to Macs.

This may be a bug on Macs at higher UI scaling settings. But we may as well try a clean reinstall:

- move any valued save games elsewhere, and user empire designs.txt from /Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/ if you have made any custom empires or races.
- "uninstall" in Steam-Stellaris
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/Stellaris AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- start the game with no mods active and test

In particular you need to make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam Stellaris or Documents Stellaris locations, before installing again.

**File Locations on Mac OS X**
The executable and DLC folder are in Users/USER/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Stellaris/
To see it go to the Finder, hit command-shift-G (ie Go To) and type in ~/Library/ .
The user files (settings.txt, error logs, saved games, gfx, mods) are in /Users/USER/Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/ .

No worries!

I tried reinstalling but no luck. I think it might just be a problem with how the UI scales. When I played at 1.3 UI scale before Galactic Paragons, the edges of the trade menu were the only thing getting cutting off, but it was just a sliver on each side, so it was no big. I know it would obscure some of Gov screen, but I wish they had made the agenda menu just appear next to the choose agenda button instead of all the way to the right.

I agree, that is what it seems. My guess is the testing on MacOS is pretty limited given the small player base, not all UI settings are tested perhaps.

By all means post this as a bug in Bug Reports!
