This one is pretty yikes, since Bretons are not even natives to Gaul. Breton people came to the Armorican peninsula during the sub-roman period of Britain as refugees, hence why they speak a Brythonic language, as it is derived from the same common ancestor as Cornish and Welsh. Bretons are as native to Gaul as the Franks are. In fact, due to how widespread the mixing with the natives was, the Franks might have more in common with the Gallo-Romans than the Bretons do.

But overall, I do support what you're suggesting, the game needs more flavor.

Yeah no biggie. What they should do is put Occitain culture on the Romance group, with the other Iberian cultures, and allow the Occitain peoples to like, abolish Francia and establish something else in its place, as they're probably the closest you'd get to a pre-Frankish peoples of France.
