So i started thread regarding Seljuk Sultanate restored desicion and some flavor changes regarding Turkish Anatolian minors and Rum. And first of all i must thank @Aquamancer for making certain valid arguments regarding the Seljuks and their dinasty. With the death of sultan Mesud II of Rum in 1308 the Seljuk dinasty was gone. And i must agree that it's pointless to restore a nation where there is no longer living relative of that dinasty.

Now the idea remains that Turkish Anatolian minors get shared mission tree aiming to unite Turks of Anatolia under the banner of Rum. The requirement for forming Rum will no longer be to take Constantinople, since Rum never controled it, but instead to secure certain terriotries in Anatolia like here : https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c6/Anatolian_Seljuk_Sultanate.JPG

After the Rum is formed it's mission tree would expand and lead you eastwards to secure the realm of the former Seljuk empire like here : https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c3/Seljuk_Empire_locator_map.svg

Any Turkish Anatolian minor that forms Rum will get Iqta government form instead Ottoman.

Another thing is with Turkish being in Levantine culture group. Now i suggest that Turks be placed in Altaic culture group, while in return Ottomans would get perhaps unique government reforms to push enabling them to promote cultures at cheap cost or to promote more cultures than usual nations. Again please feel to expres your own ideas.

I forgot One thing in the Turan Union I didn't specify that "Turani" should be in the Iranian group (Because Turco-Iranian) so if you could add "Turani culture should be part of the Iranian culture group" PDX can be a bit dense about these things

This mission tree is rather well designed: I especially like the missions starting from Court Poetry and the balance of missions focusing on conquest and other matters. Here are some feedback and notes I have about it.

  • The reason why Rûm gets the Ottoman government is mainly for gameplay reasons. Essentially, as a reward for beating the Ottomans as a rather weak nation, you get the very powerful government and mechanics otherwise exclusive to the Ottomans. It's also worth pointing out that Iqta government is more suited for vassal-oriented gameplay, while the Ottomans' government is more suited for conquering vast swathes of land, which is the gameplay encouraged by Rûmi missions.
Perhaps a good solution would be for Rûm to get its own unique type of government, which for all intentions is Ottoman government with some names changed: instead of Janissaries, Rûm is able to recruit ghulams, and instead of pashas, Rûm is able to appoint atabegs. The event that allows you to choose your heir could also have a different text that doesn't refer to Ottoman titles.
  • The claims from "City of the World's Desire" mission and the description of the "Finish off the Crusaders" mission assumes that the Crusader states (Athens, Cyprus and The Knights) exist at the time of the mission, while it could easily be that the tags have ceased to exist. In addition, the mission-tree forgets the existence of Epirus and Naxos, two other Crusader states which could still be around when the mission is completed. As such, it might be better to have the mission be a bit more dynamic: giving you claims on all of the provinces owned by the Crusader states in Anatolia and Balkans regions, with some fallback claims if none of the Crusader States exist.
  • "Amputation" could work a bit like the Novgorodian mission "Dethrone the Rurikovichs", which requires to ensure no nation in the East Slavic culture group with a Rurikovich ruler exist, unless they're a subject of Novgorod: maybe you'd have to ensure that "Timurids" tag no longer exists and no nation in Persia, Khorasan and Central Asia regions exist that are ruled by a Timurid (unless they're your vassal)?
  • I suppose when you wrote "The Italian Communes" event, you meant that you'd gain an alliance with the nation that you chose not to attack, since currently, you're suggesting getting an alliance with the nation you gain claims to. You might want to change that.
  • While I like the idea of allowing Rûm to shift the Turkish culture to Turani and thus get a cultural union over Persian lands, I am not so sure about assimilating Turkmeni and Azerbaijani cultures to it as well. Given that Azerbaijani is already a part of Persian culture group, it feels rather redundant to shift them to Turani culture. I am not sure what to say about the Turkmeni, though. Regardless, the fact that these Turani lands would be disjointed would make the unification feel off: how would three Turkic ethnic groups that don't even share a land-border gain a shared sense of unity? In addition, I am also not so certain about calling the Turco-Persian culture "Turani": perhaps "Turkoman" would be a better choice?

  • Finally, I feel that the mission tree should have a few missions different for all of the beyliks, to make them feel a bit more distinct from one another. Say, Candar's and Karaman's unique missions could involve them reclaiming their old cores, while Ramazan's and Dulkandir's old missions might have something to do with managing the opinions and interests of Mamluks and Ottomans.
Dulkandir might have a mission related to their royal marriages and alliancces with the Ottomans and focusing on re-extending their influence from Kırşehir to Mosul, Ramazan might have a mission focusing on the Bektashi tradition of Yüreğir Turks and the cultural exchange with the large Armenian community in Cilicia, Candar might have a mission focusing on internal development as well as their navy and attacks on the Genoese outposts, and Karaman could have a mission focusing on their old Mamluk alliance, and either securing control of strategic commercial areas that their economy relied on or diversifying their economic activities. That sort of stuff.

This mission tree is rather well designed: I especially like the missions starting from Court Poetry and the balance of missions focusing on conquest and other matters. Here are some feedback and notes I have about it.

The Idea was that territories that were under Venetian control would be handled by the event if you side with Venice or non of them Rum will consider those crusader states to be non-existent since they exist under the heel of Venic (Who is an ally or trade partner)

Sounds about right I will look at "Dethrone the Rurikovichs" and give OP the adjustments

There was a mix up yes

It was based off of the Mongol mission which unifies the mongols into a single culture. Turani is based off the Turans a legendary people, in the shanameh, that the turks considered to be their progenitor at the time. I think Turkmeni are Turkoman?

Fair enough my knowledge of the area is broad but no allways deep I will have a look and make appropriate additions

The Italian Communes

Option 1: "The Venetians are snakes" Gain Claims to all Venitian provinces in Balkans, Pontic Steppe or Anatolia, Become Allied with Genoa
Option 2: "The Geonoese are much too arrogant" Gain Claims to all Geonoese provinces in Balkans, Pontic Steppe or Anatolia, Become Allied with Venice
Option 3: "No deal with Infidels" Gain Claims to all Geonoese and Venitian provinces in Balkans, Pontic Steppe or Anatolia
Option 4: "Give peace a chance" Gain +10% Domestic trade, +50 Opinion with Genoa and Venice Genoa and Venice lose claims in PC tag

Amputation:

Prequisite: "No nations in the Iranian culture group with a ruler of the Timurid dynasty exist, unless they are a subject of Rum"

In overall things to be updated for Turks in Anatolia:

1. Ottoman mission tree revisit (its not complete now, lot to be added from my threads) (Barbarossa to Algeria, supporting other pirate nations, Tripolitania, Ethiopia, Aceh adventures etc)
2. mission tree for Turkish minors to restore Rum
3. mission tree for Rum to restore Greater Seljuk (no new tag needed)
4. Alaiye (new province, new nation) in 1444 vassal to Karaman
5. releasable Karesi (connected to Byzantium), Ahi (republic), Artuqid (unique Turkish nation), Teke, Canik/Chepni beyliks.
6. ideas for Ramazan, Aydın and Dulkadir
7. Anatolian Sufi orders: Mevleviye (Mawlawiyah), Bektashi, Naqshbandi
8. Events about Yörüks of Anatolia
9. Art for Anatolian buildings/terrain
10. Timariot Sipahi-Nobility estate updates
11. Possible Enderun mechanic to draft advisors https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...-state-sipahi-sultanate-of-women-era.1068546/
12. Sultanate of Women era to be expanded

Reestablish the Atabegs (Becomes unlocked with the formation of Rum)

"The old empire was governed by the Atabegs under the watchful eyes of the Vizer and the strength of the Sultan.
However following the decline of the empire and its successor states their influence has been confieded to the pages
of history. Rise to power however has created the need for a new administration and the return of the Atabegs has become
a near certainty."

Prequisite: Umera has 80% Loyalty, Umera control 10 or mor provinces, Umera has 70 Influence
Reward: Gain Permenant claims to Mashriq (Except for Palestine and Transjordan) and Submission casus belli against all
tags with capitals in the Caucasian region (Except for Dagestan and Circassia) and claims to all provinces in the Caucasian
region (Except for Dagestan and Circassia) who do not have capital in the Caucasian region.
Now that Estates cannot own land, what would you want to do with this mission.
Nobles need to own a certain amount of land?
Also do you want to use Atabeg in the meaning of councillor, or step father. The former could give an advisor cost reduction, the latter could release some vassals from conquered territory, like viceroy of the deccan does.

Sorry for the late response. I didn't notice until now. I guess it will have to change according to new estate mechanics.
