Unrelating to the mission tree: An interregnum began in 1453 and ended in 1456 with the crowning of King Chakkaphat (1456–1479).

1. Conquer Sukhothai
Description: "Fa Ngum did win against Sukhothai in 1360, but due to an internal politic he was deposed. It is time to try again to bring Sukhothai into our kingdom."
Completion requirements: Owned all provinces that owned by Sukhothai
Effects:
The Center of Trade level in Sukhothai is increased by 1

Lan Xang gains permanent claims on the Rakhine area.

2. Reaffirm friendship with Ming

Description: " It is really important for us to befriend with Ming due to its spread of influence and military might. In order to gain more grace from Ming, we have to teach Dai Viet about Lam Sơn Uprising."
Completion requirements: Lan Xang has a 200 positive relationship with Ming.
Effects: Gain 15 years claim of all provinces owned by Dai Viet.

3. To be fear or be loved by Dai Viet [Connect to 4]

Description: "Dai Viet is still getting upset with us for siding with Ming in the past. We hope that the our representative would normalize their relationship with us. Or, we have to prepare for war. Dai Viet is certainly will come after us sooner or later."
Completion requirements: Owned all provinces that owned by Dai Viet
Effects: Lan Xang gains 20 army tradition and gains 20 legitimacy
Lan Xang gains "Pax for Laos" for 20 years in the Dai Viet provinces, giving the following effects:
  • -15% of local development cost
  • +10% global trade power
4. King Visoun's Flowering of Culture
Description: "After Lan Xang acquired the peace with the Đại Việt, we can promote the Theravada Buddhist monasteries to become centers of learning and legitimatize the monarch as the Buddha protector. King Visoun sponsored several major temples or "wats" throughout the country. "


Completion requirements:
Lan Xang:
  • has 70 prestige
  • has at least 90
  • has at least 5 temples
Effects: +1% missionary strength and +0.5 yearly legitimacy for the rest of the game.

5. Restore King Fa Ngum's Mandala [Sometimes you can reused the past event];)

Description: "About 1357 Fa Ngum had established the mandala for the Kingdom of Lan Xang which extended from the borders of the Sipsong Panna with China south to Sambor below the Mekong rapids at Khong Island, and from the Dai Viet border along the Annamite Range to the western escarpment of the Khorat Plateau. Let us restore our forefather's glory."
Completion requirements: All provinces in the Indochina region are owned by Lan Xang or a non-tributary subject

Effects:
Lan Xang gains "Chakravarti" for 20 years, giving the following effects:
  • -0.03 global autonomy
  • +1 legitimacy
6. Become a close ally to Lanna

Description: Both us and Lanna are sharing a similar culture and sharing a common threat [Ayutthaya]. It is wise for us to work with them. Plus, we like a copy of the Tripiṭaka from King Kaeo of Lanna.
Completion requirements: Have an alliance with Lanna and have a royal marriage with Lanna
Effects:
Lan Xang gains 15 Prestige
The country gets “Free Trade Agreement” for 10 years, giving the following effect:
  • +10% Trade efficiency

I am on favour of anything to make the rest of the world as interesting as Europe.
 
@Eruth, the long time players like to play in other countries that are not Europe because well you get new countries to play. New players probably like Europe which many events and missions. Yeah, a long time ago, we have a mission quest that we can choose. Now, the mission tree was a replacement for the mission quest system.
