The year is 2200 and the Planet of Theia has been unified for over 150 years. It has been a time of peace and technological Progress, which has enabled its citizens to experience luxuries never dreamt of before. Though many issues remain unresolved, the institutions established with the Constitution are capable of tackling and overcoming them.

With the advent of interstellar travel new challenges and new worlds await! It is the dawn of a new Era in Theian History.

The 2200 general elections for the Senate and the Office of President will hence determine the path the Republic will take and what its place will be among the stars…

The Republican Capital of Lanthea​

Welcome to the Theian Republic Semi-Interactive Stellaris AAR where the people of the forums get to participate in the running of a Planetary Republic as in explores the depths of the galaxy. Your vote could change the outcome of the Republic.

If you want to make a character and join the IAAR you can by joining the Theian Republic discord here. Please keep in character discussion solely to discord, in order to reduce clutter on the forums.

If you just want to spectate on the forum, you can comment on posts that will be made and you can even vote in elections for the President and Senate.

The Republic has three main sources of political power:

1. The President of the Republic is the head of state and wields considerable influence over the public policy.

2. The Chancellor of the Senate is the head of government and runs the day to day affairs of the government.

3. The Senate is the main legislative body of the Republic, tasked with writing/passing laws and overseeing the other bodies of government.

However if none of the positions sound interesting to you, you can own a corporation and attempt to win influence through the market or become a military officer and lead the Republican forces to victory. There are countless paths for a citizen of the Republic and it is up to the players to decide what to do.

History of the United Republic of Theia

A quick thank you to our loremaster skagerakk for writing out this lore!

The following is not an exhaustive list of historical events, but merely serves to give future generations an understanding of how things came to be as they are today. This list includes interesting and notable historical events that ultimately lead to the establishment of the United Republic.


The dates are described in the standard republican calendar with B.A. (Before Adherence) and A.A. (After Adherence) with the year 0 marking the year in which the Benebellum Emperor Iustinian VII. started adhering to the faith of Eriphuni (see Description of Theian Religions for more details).


Theian Historical Society

Part 1: Ancient History (ca. 3000 B.A. - 1499 A.A.)
Baruna:

• ca. 1000 B.A. - 338 A.A. The Benebellum Empire: The Benebellum Empire controlled most of Northern and Eastern Baruna; from the city of Benebellum, they conquered much of modern Werthia, Valeria, Usman, Kheerina and the old Ganlish Empire. The Benebellum Empire ultimately collapsed due to a combination of infighting, corruption, rebellious territories in, noteworthy in Kheerina and a conflict with the Xi Dynasty from Zhounge, which lead to the fracturing of both Empires.

• 338 A.A. - 1245 A.A. Rise of Kingdoms: After the collapse of the Benebellum Empire to the east and the Xi Dynasty to the west, the Continent splintered and local kingdoms, duchies etc. established themselves in the vacuum left. Many of these would become part of the modern nation states.

• 1245 A.A. - 1400 A.A. Rise and fall of the Kheerinan Horde: The province of Kheerina has always been home to a peculiar type of people, living a nomadic lifestyle and practicing the belief in the “Great Herd”. In 1245 the Khanates of Kheerina were reunited by one Akuma Kheer. He then went on to conquer Baruna, from the east in Agadda to the west in Külya. Only after his death in 1269 did the expansion of horde stop. His successor were able to keep the conquered provinces under Kheerinan control for about a century, after which a succession crisis caused the Khanate to splinter and fracture, which enabled the Eastern Kingdoms to regain their independence and escape the Kheerinan yoke. The successors of the Khanate went on to become Kheerina and Usman. During this time the Warlords in Zhounge were also reunited under the Ching Dynasty, which successfully repelled the Kheerinan Horde in 1264. After this the Zhounge Empire underwent a period of self inflicted isolation, wanting to seperate themselves from the outside, as they felt, it was responsible for all of Zhounge’s problems. This period would last until 1781, when the Valerian Empire conquered the Tonoun peninsula.

Akuma Kheer and the Kheerinan Horde​

→ 1499 A.A. Discovery of Nordurs and Dexia (Beginning of the Age of Colonialism)

Nordurs:

• ca. 3000 B.A. Settlement of the North: Settlers from modern Valeria arrive on Nordurs and establish the first cities, these cities, even though they shared many aspects of culture and religion (Oltism) they remained rivals to each other until the establishment of the 1st Northern Union in 1573 A.A.

• ca. 2500 B.A. Foundation of the Desert Kingdom: Al-Fariz, the oldest city still in use in the world was founded in 2500 B.A.. Originally built underground around an underground lake, the city soon spread, however it remained relatively isolated for centuries to come, by the inhospitable desert surrounding it, trade was only possible with caravans, a dangerous profession, that only few ever attempted. During the following centuries these alkhans (caravaneers) formed their own culture and traditions. Al-Fariz to this day follows the teachings of their founder Adeebah.

• 1250 A.A. - 1499 A.A. Period of Raiders: A series of good harvests caused an issue of overpopulation in Gotholm, many young men therefore decided to leave and look for fortune elsewhere. The Northerners were good sailors and able to built a type of ship ahead of its time: the longboat. With this they managed to reach the coast of modern Valeria and raided an pillaged for about a century, always arriving and leaving before any local response could be mustered. These raiders received the name “pilleur” by the locals.

Dexia:

• ca. 0 B.A. Founding of Dysopolis: Dysopolis was founded, by presumably Benebellum religious refugees, who refused to convert to the new faith, instead continuing to follow the old belief system. This period however did not last long and the Dysopians soon started to follow the Oltish beliefs around 150 A.A., presumably to improve their trading relations with the Northern city states.. However little evidence exists to support this theory besides religious scrolls that were found in dig sites around Dysoplis, which could be traced back to Benebellum. Little else supports this theory, as in 1344 A.A. Dysopolis almost burned down in its entirety and many artifacts and evidence regarding its founding were lost. It is also unclear how these refugees would have been able to cross the ocean centuries before other Barunan seafaring nations, but this mythos remains the most probable and popular theory, as it explains many of the cultural similarities which would be impossible without prior contact between the cultures.

Dysopian settlers would go on and form a complicated yet efficient trading network across Dexia, founding many cities such as the trading port of Athos in the process.

• 750 A.A. Founding of Vilkagrad: Dysopian settlers, settle on the crossing of the Vlika and the Holga, founding the city of Vilkagrad. From there they would slowly lose contact with Dysopolis forming their own traditions and religion (Pukleshi). From their Vilkagrad slowly grew more ambitious and started its long period of expansion across the continent, assimilating cultures and people they met into what would become the Vilkan Tsardom (1555 A.A).

Addendum: Much information about the indigenous people of Dexia has been lost to time and atrocities committed by Empires in their quest for expansion, many natives have over the centuries lost their cultures and traditions and have adopted the Barunan customs and religions, first and foremost Eripuhinism in its various forms. The only notable exception to this is Huedepa, which has been established by the Venturan Republic and the Federalized States of Dexia in 1802 to protect what was left of the native cultures, though it is only a shadow of what is believed to have once existed.


Part 2: Age of Colonialism: (1499 A.A. - 1802 A.A.)
Barunan Discovery of Nordurs:
In 1499 the explorer Jonathan H. Watkins from Ganford mounted a series of naval expeditions that would change the history of the world forever and would set the foundations needed for the Ganlish Empire and other Barunan global Empires. On June 6th 1499 Watkins triangulated the origin of the “pileurs” using the currents of the northern waters as a basis, this way he discovered the continent of Nordurs. He landed near the modern city of Arrowton, which was founded shortly thereafter as an outpost for the Ganlish crown, who was looking for ways to expand its influence. The Ganlish settlers soon discovered that due to the widespread use of gunpowder in Barunan warfare ever since its first uses on the side of the Zhounge Empire in border conflicts with the Venturan city states and the Usman Sulatanate, their weapons and tactics were far superior to the ones of the native Northerners, which lead to a rapid expansion of territory. This expansion was only stopped by the desert surrounding Al-Fariz and the 1st Northern Union in 1573, which successfully mounted a defense against Ganlish incursions into the north. However this Union soon fractured again in 1602 when the Valerian Kingdom landed on the western coast of Nordurs and successfully negotiated the coastal cities into joining the new Valerian Empire. After this the Northern city states again splintered into smaller rivaling states, only to be reunited in 1770.

Barunan Discovery of Dexia:
Watkins fourth exploratory mission lead him to discover the continent of Dexia in 1523. He died on this last journey of his at the age of 68.

His crew established an outpost on the eastern seaboard of the continent and named it New Ganford. From here the Ganlish Empire would expand across the continent.

The “Venture” and the “Galant”, the two ships of Watkins​

Valeria soon followed suit in the colonial expansion. In 1552 they established an city far in the north, Avant dú Nord would serve as a way inland and from there Valeria would colonize almost the entire east coast.

The Barunan colonial expansions were only halted by the Vilkan Tsardom in the south west. this Empire was able to defend itself due to its large size and enormous population, which was willing to fight for their Tsar.

To the North of New Ganford, the Ganlish Empire established a protectorate in the Dysopian league, as they were dependant on their trade routes being secure and Ganland supplied this protection in exchange for annual payments. In the Trade war of 1689 Ganland also acquired the Dysopian city of Athos, which would soon become the most important trading port in Dexia due to its fortunate position on Lake Lanthea and its connection to bothe the Dysopian League as well as the Ganlish Empire.

In 1699 the city states around the cities of Benebellum and Ventura unified under the banner of King Fernando de la Rosa and soon also started colonizing the North West of Dexia by promising protection to the natives living there.

The Valerian Empire’s colonial ambitions soon took a huge hit, when in 1772 its western colonies rebelled, due to a perceived unfairness in taxation, when Valeria raised them in order to repay the debts accumulated in their latest conflict with the Ganlish Empire. This lead to the seven year long war of Dexian Independence, which resulted in the founding of the Federalized States of Dexia (FSD). The FSD was founded on the principles of Democracy and self determination and soon took a leading role in the Venturan civil war of 1799, which lead to a similar style of Government and the establishment of the Venturan Republic. In cooperation with the FSD the Venturans established the Protectorate of Huedepa in 1802, a country where all the disenfranchised natives of Dexia could live in peace.


Part 3: Age of Imperialism (1802 A.A. - 1901 A.A.)
With the borders in Dexia seemingly set in stone and unlikely to change the Empires of Ganland and valeria set their eyes back to their own continent, where they found a weakening Zhounge Empire and Usman Sultanate. The Zhounge had kept up their policy of isolation, which lead to them falling behind in terms of technology and economy. While the Eastern Empires and the Werthish Duchies had entered a period of industrialization, discovering the steam engine and electricity, the Zhounge barely changed for the last centuries. This lead to the “Poppy Wars” of 1846 and 1859, in which Ganland and Valeria used the Poppies grown in their colonies in Dexia to forcibly open the Zhounge market to their countries, as well as conquering swaths of land (Tonoun and Sampor Wat respectively).

A similar fate experienced the Usman Sultanate as they could not keep up with the Valerian economy and soon found themself on the losing end of a war they could not not win. This ultimately ended in Valeria forcing their economic interests onto Usman.

The Shogunate of Tanakawa was forced out of its isolation by Ganlish and Valerian forces in 1889 as well which lead to resentment on the Tanakawan side for the next century.

A war against Kheerina in 1900 ended in the conquest of Agadda by Ganland, which secured the oil in the region for the Ganlish Empire.


Part 4: Age of Global Conflict (1901 A.A. - 1957 A.A.)
Zhounge Civil War:

After the Ching Dynasty lost the “Poppy Wars” and internal issues like corruption and latent racism against the lower classes (perceived to be different from the ruling class) the Zhounge Empire was plunged into civil war when the last Emperor died in 1901. This civil war, in which multiple warlords were fighting for different goals and ideologies would last until 1957 at which the communist faction, inspired by the teachings of Wertish philosopher Wilhelm Klaus about a classless society, won the civil war. They achieved this by brutally suppressing discontent in their ranks and spreading the same in the enemy ranks, thus founding the People’s Republic of Zhounge.

However the Zhounge Civil War had a brief pause between 1937 and 1948, in which the “Great War” was fought and the Tanakawa Shogunate invaded.

The Battle of Xilang 1955​

Prelude to the Great War:
The situation in northern Baruna drastically changed in 1918, threatened by Valerian expansionism the Werthish states were swept by nationalism and united under one “Führer”, Otto Birkenbach, the General of Werthburg, the largest duchy among the Wertish states. This coup d’etat was carried out in the name of the people to protect them, as the military felt, that the dukes in charge were incapable of protecting their subjects against the Valerian Empire.

With coal and iron in ample supply the newly founded Wertish Reich used its industrial capabilities to fund the largest armament campaign ever to be seen to that date. Using the latest military inventions Werthia was the first nation to have a Tank Corps and an Air Force as early as 1922.

When the Reich also started naval built up the Ganlish Empire felt threatened as well and entered a formal alliance with Valeria in 1930.

This alliance prompted several other nations, unhappy with the two global empires to side with Werthia, so it came to be that the Usman Sultanate and the Vilkan Tsardom entered an alliance with the Werthish Reich in 1931.


The Great War:
The situation escalated on 2nd February 1937 after a border skirmish on the Wertish-Valerian border caused a shoot out. With this the alliances sprang into action and a the nations mobilized their troops. This was the beginning of the “Great War”.

The name “Great War” is to this day highly contested among historians as it is misleading, because while the majority of the fighting was between five different nations, this gloal war enabled several smaller countries like the Tanakawa Shogunate to declare wars with the goal of expansion on their own. This being said the “Great War” more accurately consisted out of at least three different wars

.So it came that in 1937 the Wertish Reich, Usman Sultanate and Vilkan Tsardom (Iron Pact) found themselves in a war against the Ganlish and Valerian Empire (Imperial Alliance)

The war soon ground to a standstill in 1941, while highly successful on the Barunan land warfare, coming as far as 30 km distance from Valerié, the Iron Pact lacked the naval capacity to threaten the colonial possessions of Ganland or Valeria.

The Vilkan Tsardom only had limited success on the Dexian front as they soon encountered fortified positions of Ganland and their Dysopian subjects and found themself unable to advance any further than the southern tip of Lake Lanthea.

With Ganlish and Valerian assets being needed elsewhere the Tanakawa Shogunate used this opportunity to attack Zhounge while it was occupied with its civil war attacking from the eastern coast of Zhounge. However Tanakawa was soon repelled as in 1944 the different parties fighting in the Zhounge civil war declared a ceasefire and coordinated a defense against the foreign invaders, before resuming the civil war in 1951. Many historians however argue that Tanakawa only retreated as it became clear that global attention might soon shift on them as a peace treaty was close to ending the biggest conflict of the century and the Shogun was afraid of FSD and Ganlish intervention.

The Venturan Republic also started a similar campaign into Zhounge in 1941, however they were more successful than Tanakawa and were able to conquer swaths of land in the North-East of Zhounge, with the peace of 1945 resulting in the Zhounge-Venturan split of the city of Shengyun, of which the eastern part of the city became part of the Venturan Republic.

The standstill in the War of the Imperial Alliance against the Iron Pact forced both sides to invest resources into finding ways to overcome the resolve and military strength of their opponents. The Reich and Valeria soon found their prime candidate in the field of nuclear physics and both started their nuclear program in 1943..

In 1946 Valerian physicist Emmanuel Mérode, successfully split the atom. The Valerian military soon was able to put this technology into a bomb.

On 7th December 1947 the first of their bombs was dropped on the strategically important city of Ahnenstadt through which most of the Werthish railways went through. Although all aircrafts deployed were shot down the bomb was successfully deployed and destroyed the entire city and irradiated the surrounding environment, which to this day remains off limits due to the radiation.

This display of the destructive capabilities Valeria now possessed and which Werthia was well on its way to reaching as well prompted the Federalized States of Dexia and Northern Union to call for a ceasefire and start peace negotiations. Other countries such as Ventura and Kheerina supported this and eventually convinced the Ganlish government to do the same as Ganland was losing support for the war among its population.

In 1948 the diplomatic pressure was high enough to force Valeria and Werthia to the table.

On 31st March 1948 the ceasefire was declared and negotiations for a peace treaty commenced.

After years of negotiations on 22nd October 1951 under FSD moderation the treaty of Librévillé was signed. This treaty returned the historical Usman capital of Külya to the Sultanate, granted the Dysopian League independence and recognized the territories gained by the Vilkan Tsardom in Dexia, this however was the extent of the treaty as Valeria refused to give up territory and threatened with nuclear retaliation if an inch on Valerian soil was granted to Werthia. In the end a compromise was reached which established the following borders:

Part 5: Age of Global Peace (1957 A.A, - 2044 A.A.)
Technological leaps and bounds:

After the mediation in the peace talks of 1948-1951 the FSD took on a global leadership role. At this point they have surpassed the Ganlish Empire in GDP and have become the world’s largest economy. Under FSD leadership the new People’s republic of Zhounge was peacefully integrated into the Global Community (GC), a diplomatic body, designed to prevent armed conflict from occuring again and meant to further globalisation and economic prosperity. The GC successfully ended a civil war in Al-Fariz, which started after two rivaling princes tried to become king after the death of their father.

This stability enabled major technological progress. In 1968 the first computers were connected to the Internet and in 1977 the first man reached space. This man was David A. Dotson, a citizen from the Federalized States of Dexia.

In 1999 the first permanent space Station was established in orbit over Theia, built in a cooperative effort of FSD, Ganland and Dysopia it marked an important step toward unification.

Global Unity Movement:

Humanity and the nations became more interconnected and interdependent than ever before, this however changed after the fateful death of Führer Gustav Eichwald, leader of the Werthish Reich in 2005.

He was succeeded by Führer Heinz von Hohenberg, a ultra nationalistic conservative and militaristic person, who saw the peace of 1948 as a humiliation of Werthia and wanted to make Werthia great again. under his leadership the nuclear arsenal of Werthia was modernized and military build up resumed once again.

However while his views were popular with the older generation, the younger generation born in the 1980s and after, who already saw their government as unable or unwilling to represent their views or act in their interest, when it comes to matters such as the apparent climate catastrophe looming in the near future.

This Generation, organized over the Internet, established the “Global Unity Movement”(GUM), this movement called for the end of the nation states, especially the autocratic governments in Valkia, Werthia, Zhounge, Usman and Tanakawa (Ganland and Valeria had representative Parliaments and their Kings only served in ceremonial roles).

The GUM soon numbered in the tens of millions and started to gain ever more traction. In 2010 the first party organized out of the GUM was founded in the FSD, while their result in the 2010 elections was insignificant it still marked a momentous occasion.

When von Hohenberg called for the reestablishment of mandatory enlistment into the Werthish Army in 2015, this sparked mass protests in Werthia and even worldwide. These protests managed to grind the Wertish economy to a halt, as more and more people protested and striked against this measure.

In 2017 the Valerian chapter of the GUM managed to win 23 (of 500) seats on the Valerian parliament in their federal elections. In 2018 the FSD chapter followed suit, having 39 (out of 400) seats in the Dexian Senate.

More and more local parties of the Global Unity Movement gained seats in their regional and national parliaments, this caused backlash amongst the conservative community. In Ventura one of these backlashes caused the Venturan president to claim the GUM to be a terrorist organization, due to their increasingly more aggressive and violent actions in Werthia (in 2020 the Werthish military started cracking down on local GUM chapters, causing in some cities a state of near civil war and constant protests in many other cities).

For several years between 2020 and 2035 many GUM chapters were forced to flee underground, as their governments started cracking down on them and their beliefs.

However in 2026 the presidential elections in the FSD were won by Michael van der Brook, a candidate of the GUM, this combined with the massive increase of seats in the FSD Senate gave the GUM a total majority in the FSD.

Similar election outcomes (in 2027 in Ganland, 2029 in Valeria, 2030 in Huedepa and 2031 in the Northern Union as well as Kheerina) enabled the GUM to undertake their massive and revolutionary idea of uniting all of Theia under one Democratic Republic. In 2033 Ganland, Valeria, Huedepa, Northern Union, FSD and Kheerina merged. The United Republic of Theia (URT) was born.

Over the next eleven years the URT intervened in Werthia, Zhounge, Dysopia, Usman, Al-Fariz, Ventura and Tanakawa to enable democratic elections in these nations, by leveraging their superior military and economic might. By sending Observers into these countries to oversee the election process the Republic ensured, that the will of the people could not be ignored. After these elections the countries population soon decided to join the URT. Only the Vilkan Tsardom refused to allow elections of any kind.

After the death of Tsar Alexander III. in 2043 the new Tsar recognized the tides of time and reluctantly joined the URT. Vilka was therefore the last Country to join the United Republic.

The Tsarish family, as well as the royal families of Ganland, Al-Fariz and Valeria to this day have limited ceremonial local and sometimes religious positions, with no official political power.

And so it came to be that on 17th April 2044 A.A. all of Theia was unified under one democratic Republic, in which the principles of freedom and self determination reign supreme.

The Flag of the United Republic of Theia​

Part 6: Age of Republic (2044 A.A. - Today)
The first few decades of this new global Government were spent consolidating power, restructuring the new Provinces, which have been established, more in line of cultural and geographical locations, so that they are all bound by the newly established Constitution.

The first President of the Republic, Thomas Delarosa, the founder of the Theian Old Mandate, a party born of the merge of all center-left parties from the former nations, also decreed the construction of Lanthea, the Capital of the World, in order to avoid connotations of preferential treatment from the provincial governors. It was built near Athos, which has always been a city in which all the cultures meet and trade.

To this day nationalistic movements remain a common occurrence, some even advocating for independence.

The following century was a golden age for humanity, technological progress was rampant and in 2134 the first permanent outpost was created outside of Theia’s orbit.

Many corporations saw the potential and opted to start mining the resources found in the solar system, energy problems became a thing of the past.

In 2170 the first interstellar probe was sent with an experimental Hyperdrive to explore the so called “Hyperlanes” which seem to connect the solar system of our Galaxy. It was the same year the Republican Navy expanded and created the Delarosa-Class corvette in order to defend our planet if the need should ever arise. The first three ships of this class are: ISS Thomas Delarosa, ISS David A. Dotson and ISS Michael van der Brook

Now we write the year 2200 A.A. the next elections have arrived and once again the future of Theia will be decided by its inhabitants as it rightfully should be!

These elections are especially important as they will decide the what direction the Republic will take.

@kiruclanz regarding your Question: I am afraid that is a little bit harder to answer, due to my own unorganizedness. The pictures used are primarily from https://www.artstation.com/, a website in which many artists publish their work. Unfortunatley have I been downloading and saving pictures from there for about a year now, since participating in another IAAR, in which I was preparing for election, that would turn out, to never happen and saving the picutres under renamed names. But I am sure the artists themselves are easy to find, since I mostly searched for obvious stuff like "Vikings", "World War 2", etc.
I am sorry that I couldn't answer your question further, though I do hope you find what you are looking for, as https://www.artstation.com/ is a true treasure trove of art of all kinds (And I do mean ALL KIND)

Welcome and get ready for the first Roleplay Post of the ongoings of the Republic! Roleplay has already begun but it's not too late to join in on the fun and make a character! Factions and Candidates for the first election are still open to be made until the 18th. Then we will get full swing into the first election cycle!

The Importance of The Republic’s Youth
Multiple upcoming Senate Factions have begun programs to start urging the young people of the Republic to become more politically involved. The National Conservative Party has created the Young National Conservative Association which focuses on college campus clubs to encourage students to get involved with campaigning and debating activities.

The Democratic Labour Party (DLP) has created the Young Democratic Labour club. They hope to teach the youth of the Republic the importance of working together in tolerance, equality and fairness. While the YNCA is a club for college students, the YDL is a summer camp for kids 16-18 years old.

The One Republic Congress (ORC) released a less than formal announcement, released the news about them also having a summer camp for the Republic’s youth. They claim to offer scholarships to the attendees and that the goal of the camp is to help the Republic’s youth learn about Authoritarian Capitalism.

After the announcement of these they were met with some political backlash. Multiple factions spoke out against the programs, The National Movement (NM), the Theian Environmentalist Movement (TEF) and The Gommunist Workers Union (GWU) all released statements against the camps.

General Ludmila of The National Movement called out the programs for brainwashing the youth and urged parents to teach their children themselves rather than send them to ideological camps.

Dr. Crichton Li of the Theian Environmentalist Movement released this statement:

"Do not fall in the trap of partisan summer camps. If you want your children to learn about the environment or to explore the ways of science, send them to school or send them to certified summer camps which have your child's education as their best interest and are not some party's extended arm trying to get a grip on your children. The Department for Societal Research has some incredible summer programs of its own where your children can learn about everything from biology to statecraft. All in a non-partisan environment!"

Robert Gommue of the Gommunist Workers Union released a statement as well:

"Youth camps infringe on the formation of free thought. If you have to put propaganda into a child for most of their lives to get them to agree with you you're probably not the best person to be around children."


A debate between General Ludmila and Saint Kraus of the ORC. It was covered and broadcasted by Fulchrome News:

BREAKING NEWS: Candidates, Gulina Ludmila Grigorievna and Saint Kraus, for the upcoming Senatorial elections have debated fiercely on Camera. Following an invitation extended by Saint Kraus, leader of the One Republic Congress (ORC), he and Gulina Ludmila Grigorievna, leader of the National Movement (TNM) have met in the Gotholm community center to discuss their views. They discussed what they stand for, the discussion, however, soon derailed. Instead of answering each other’s questions in a civilized manner both parties resulted to raising more and more unfounded allegations against each others political platforms. Grigorievna accused Kraus of fear mongering, brainwashing children and taking away freedoms of the citizens of the Republic. Kraus raised other unfounded points and claimed that Grigorievna would want people to die in the streets of starvation. Kraus ended the debate, after Grigorievna left claiming to have proven her points “many times over”, proclaiming himself the “defender of the people” while branding her as a “traitor” who “ignores the current state of the Republic”. While no issues have been resolved or any progress in reaching a compromise was made, the viewers of the footage released by both parties, have been shown the material these candidates are made of.(edited)


Meet the Candidates: Gulina Ludmila Grigorievna: Passed military school at age 14, making her one of the youngest graduates. She has often been described as having a short attention span. Founder of The National Movement (TNM). Her Party’s expressed goal is it to increase autonomy for the pre-unification nation states, due to her dissatisfaction with the global Government. Saint Kraus: Self proclaimed “Authoritarian Capitalist” and “Defender of the people”. Has served in the military for 12 years. Worked 4 years as a social worker in Central Nordurs after retiring from his military service. Founder of the One Republic Congress (ORC). His Party’s goals are oriented towards centralization of the Government and decentralization of the market. It has been described as Nationalistic in the past. He, allegedly, has many backers in the corporate sector, though none have yet to announce their endorsement of him or his party, as is required by law.

On other News: Giden Schulz, leader of the Eriphunism Unity League (EUL), has announced the creation of a food donation drive to the poor outskirts of Nanbu Kong, inviting all who hunger to come to the local Church of Eriphuni to be fed and clothed. He furthermore invites all who come to receive the Bible of Eriphuni and join him and his party in servor. Additionally rumors claim that the EUL would increase their activity in the area. This plays into the EUL’s expressed goal to spread the Faith of Eriphuni.


The Daily Lives of the Business World

The Birth of Space Tourism
Mr Fulchrome of the Fulchrome Media Group and Mr Brandston of Brandston Industries met with each other to discuss the possibilities of Space Tourism and the launching of Fulchrome Cruises into space.

Brandston arrives... Rather late. About an hour or so. He was wearing a suit and rather cheap sunglasses. He didn’t care for the expense. He walks into the building and smiles, walking to the receptionist. ‘2 O’clock meeting, William Brandston’

The receptionist smiles and gestures to the elevator "Mr. Fulchrome is waiting for you. Level 42, Conference Room 7."

‘Thank you.’ He takes his sunglasses off and walks into the elevator, pressing a few buttons and watching the doors close. Once they were in the top, he stepped out and into the conference room, smiling. ‘Mr Fulchrome, pleasure to see you.’

Zacharias looks rather annoyed for the delay, but smiles when Brandston enters the room "Mr. Brandston, the pleasure is mine. Well time is money and we are already behind schedule, so let#s get started, shall we?" He gestures to one of the empty chairs around the conference table

He nods. ‘Yes sir.’ He pulls the chair out and sits down, crossing his arms. ‘So, interstellar cruise ships, I think I can guess why you wanted me.’

He nods "Yes, some of my accountants have looked into the possibility of Interstellar Tourism. With the dawn of FTL travel, they expect the market to grow exponentially as humanity ventures into the stars. In the field exists, to date, very little competition, so it is worth investing in. For that matter: There are no commercially available civilian cruise ships for interstellar travel. Your company is leading in the fields of modern ship building, so I wanted to inquire, if you'd be interested to look into designing such an FTL-capable cruise liner for outer space, and give me a cost estimation."

He puts a black briefcase on the table and opens it, putting his reading glasses on. ‘Hmm.... We can definitely do it. Any size.... considering the market etc etc. it might be expensive. But affordable for your company.’ He begins to write on a piece of paper, doing some maths. ‘I estimate about... 2.6 million’

Zack nods "Hm, that sounds reasonable for designing a new starship from scratch. I would like you to get in touch with Eugene Norton from Fulchrome Technologies. He will assist with the technical aspects of computing, scanners and internal layout of the ship. How long do you gather the design phase will take, Mr. Brandston?"

‘The Design stage will take about.... 5-6 months.’ He looks up, peering at Zach through his glasses. ‘I will need layouts... design specifics, for example where you want your swimming Pools.’ He laughs. ‘I would advise attaching light weapons... to deal with asteroids and other space anomalies.’

"That is definitely something to look into, yes." He looks at the screen in front of him and types something "I will have my legal department send you the specifics for the contract. It will only be for designing for now, after we have the specs, we will run a cost benefit analysis and then decide whether we go forward or take a different approach. I would like an update once the design stage is finished. Is that agreeable to you, Mr. Brandston?"

‘Very agreeable. Is that all? I have a plane to catch and a child's birthday party to get to.’

"Yes that will be all. Thank you for coming, Mr. Brandston." He extends his hand to shake "And Happy Birthday to your child."

He takes the hand, firmly shaking it. ‘I’ll leave a business card with your secretary.’ He chuckles and steps back. ‘I’ll tell Ella that, She loves your shows.’

The Ad Campaigns Begins
Fulchrome Media Group has created the Fulchrome Marketing Solutions in order to sell their services and help create ads for some of the Senate Factions. Several Factions have signed a document like the one below with Mr Fulchrome.

The following contracts outlines the terms and conditions of service for the advertisement campaign of [Theian Outerspace Movement]. Neither Fulchrome Marketing Solutions nor any of its associated corporations will be held accountable for the contents of the advertisement produced. The client, [Theian Outerspace Movement], accepts sole liability for any legal repercussions. Fulchrome Marketing Solutions retains the right to revoke Service at any time. Fulchrome Marketing Solutions will not share any informations collected during the campaign with third parties. The client, [Theian Outerspace Movement] accepts that other clients may take priority over him/her and any delays that may ensue because of that. The service of Fulchrome Marketing Solutions will be terminated after the agreed upon service, [production of two advertisements for election purposes], has been concluded, for additional services further fees may be demanded. This contract can be extended should both parties wish to do so.

The World Entertainment Forum

Big Showcases of this years WEF convention were new developments made by Gilded Hope Enterprises Fulchrome Media Group and the Shinmum Group. Gilded Hope released their new games Warrior Hoplite and Stellar Conflicts Frontlines on the Chromestation. Stellar Conflicts Frontlines is based on the Fulchrome Media’s hit move Stellar Conflicts in which Episode One: The Coming Judgement was just released in theaters. Idiom Interactive studios partnered with the Shinmum Group also announced their new VR game Manifest Battle Arena.

Political Talks Begin

The Meeting of Right Wing Parties
Karl Braun of the NCP called for a Meeting of Right Wing Parties to discuss the upcoming election. TEF, ORC and TOM were invited to the meeting.

The Leader of the NCP, Konstantin Hoth, comes out of the room that they are in to address the crowd of Journalists. "Friends, welcome! While we are pleased at your enthusiasm to hear of the new alliance on the right side of Politics, I regret to inform you that Journalists will not be allowed in to the meeting proper. However, as a reward for your efforts, you will get Frontline seats to the press conference we are about to have once this meeting is concluded, where we announce the final results of the conference."

Karl Walks into the closed Meeting room and sits in a chair, and calls his assistant for coffee.

Dr. Crichton Li gives his clearance badge to the guard standing at the door to the meeting room. After getting permission to enter, he enters the room and takes a seat.

Tomaso Delarosa arrives in the closed off room, sits in his designated chair and awaits what will be coming

Hoth then walks into the meeting room, where he sits down, brings out a cigar, and begins to smoke.

saint arrives dressed in a black suit and with a red tie behind him were a group of men wearing grey suits with a golden eagle head on the right of their chest "Evening gentlemen."

“Shall we begin?” Karl says softly to the other members of the meeting.

"Indeed Mr.Braun." Saint Said.

Dr. Li nods as he looks to the other gathered politicians.

"Sure, I'm curious" Tomaso responds

Karl begins by announcing his intent for the meeting. “As we know We are pretty divided right now, and we need one candidate for us so that one of us may represent the People as President. We are to decide today who we think should run here and who are our parties will support him for the position”

Saint put forth the motion that Mr Hoth should run for president and it was seconded by Dr Li.

Karl: “Later we will discuss chancellor but to be honest Mr. Delarosa seems like the best choice”

"I am flattered by that mister Braun, and if you were to ask my opinion I think mister Hoth is indeed, of the parties on the right, the most suitable candidate." Tom responded.

"I could definitely support mister Hoth if it were to come to that, but I want to stress that my support is not set in stone yet. As you all know here, my Faction is first and foremost a centrist one, meaning I am more than willing to work with both sides of the political spectrum. I definitely expect the leftist parties to approach me as well and I will be hearing them too before I make a final decision. But as said, if I were to support a candidate from the right, mister Hoth would have my approval." Tom continued.

"Hold on, before we decide anything conclusive, what would the priority of a Hoth-presidency be?" Crichton Li asked.

"Well, if I were to win the Presidency, I think the emphasis would be on a stable economy and rapid expansion. We must carve out as much room as possible in the stars as possible." -Hoth

Saint, Crichron Li and Tom all expressed concerns about not straining the economy too much.

"The focus is on keeping the economy stable. That is the priority. If expansion were to Jeopardize that, we would obviously stop." was Hoth’s response.

Crichton announced "Whenever a species is introduced into a new environment and rapidly expands its influence, it is always eventually met by some countermeasure of the ecosystem."

"Of course I assume the economy would also be stimulated to facilitate that growth into space, right? And it would create a lot of jobs for our people." Tom remarked.

"Well of course. If other solar systems are as abundant in resources as this one, then I am sure that there will be plenty of resources to extract. Plus the stimulation of private industry via tax exemptions for targeted extraction is another way for resources to be gained." was Hoth’s response to Tom’s question.

"Expansion and economic growth can go perfectly hand in hand, we should not fear the expansion, we should embrace and actively encourage it!" Tom said.

"Sustainable expansion should be our priority, we must always keep the long-term perspective in mind. Mr. Hoth, what if we encounter Xenos?" Dr Li asked.

"Xenos, now that's a tricky topic. I suppose that it all depends on if they are sentient or not." Hoth pondered.

"We must assume space is a hostile environment and approach any Xeno we encounter with caution, sentient or not." Dr Li proposed.

"I am not going to lie about this, but we know my stance and your stance on intelligent xeno life are the exact opposite mister Li. The question is if you accept any intelligent Xeno life inside the borders of the Republic or not?" was Tom’s response.

"If they aren't sentient, then after a thorough examination to make sure it isn't a threat, then I say that there is no reason we can't coexist with what amounts to space dogs. If they are sentient then I say approach with caution, but I am sure that we will not encounter xenos for a good while, if at all." was Hoth’s response to Li and Tom

"We will have to see if the xenos we meet even exist." Saint Kraus interjected.

"There is no question about the existence of Xeno life Mr. Kraus. There are more stars in the sky than insects on this planet. The chance that the galaxy is a jungle teeming with life is significant. It is not a matter of if but when. Now, Mr. Delarosa, I do not like the fact that you take assumptions about my own views without even knowing me. I'm simply saying that we should be aware that what we find up there might want to eat us." Dr Li replied.

"If they are hell bent on destruction, then we will destroy them. If they want Peace, we will have peace. And besides, I doubt we will encounter aliens in our first 10 years amongst the stars." Hoth stated and all agreed with.

After a discussion about the market the meeting ended up in an argument between Saint Kraus and Tom. At the end The Freedom Coalition was formed with NCP, TEF and the ORC. TOM had left saying they would think further on whether they will join the coalition in the future.

The Conference of Party Leadership

Andy Smith of the DLP called for a conference to discuss future politics of the Republic. Tomaso of TOM, Giden Schulz of the EUL, Robert Gomme of the GWU, General Ludmila of the NM and Mahjarrat Nabor were invited to the conference hosted by the Shinmum Group.

The event started off with Allison Hyeong of the Shinmum Group “Thank you all for showing up. Senator Smith, I think you should start since you called the meeting”

"Yes thank you Ms Hyeong, alright everyone the reason I called this meeting is not only for policies but trying to come to an agreement on a potential candidate for the president election. Of course I mean no disrespect towards Mr Gomme, he has done a lot of work for this election, but you wouldn't mind if we were to have a second option for the voters?" asked Andy.

“Well do you have a suggestion?” asked Allison.

"An independent, someone that can be seen a person for people and for small businesses, I suggest either you Ms Hyeong or Mr Nabor." said Andy.

“Uh, well then how about Tom?” asked Allison.

"Why an independent candidate? Why not you, mister Smith? And I am too young to apply for the Presidency, Ms Hyeong." Stated Tom. He also mumbled about how forgetful Allison is but no one seemed to hear that part.

"While I enjoy the idea, and flattered you would put me up for it, I must agree that none of us have quite enough popularity to win; would you push foreward my or Ms. Hyeongs candidacy with the power of your party?" Mentioned Mahjarrat.

"I feel that the NCP will take any opportunity to beat me down, especially now that he manages to unite his formal competitors... " Smith than looks at Nabor. "I am scared my endorsement would be weaken Ms Hyeong's position, many people are more than happy to label me as a rebel against the the state." replied Andy.

"They would take any opportunity to beat just about anyone down. But if I realised anything that just drives you further into the ground" said Ludmila.

"I am assuming none of you want to endorse me." Robert asked a little disheartened. No one at the conference was willing to do so.

The topic of who among them should run for president ended up going no where. The conference then moved on to the topic of social welfare.

"Well I suppose but I would like to discuss what policies we should try to promote? Ms Hyeong what policies do you have in mind ?" Andy asked.

“I think the creation of Government Backed Social Welfare should be a start” was Allison’s reply. To which GeneralLudmila agreed with on the option of it being an optional program.

"Protecting the workers is important, but we must also not burden the corporations who will be vital in our expansion across the stars as well." was Tom’s concern.

"I suppose but the issue is wouldn't that be become a self funded poverty? If the person cannot afford the cost of living, how can they afford also to pay tax for his own welfare?" Andy asked.

Mahjarrat comments, "We would simply refuse to tax those below a certain income level; those who would fall below the poverty line due to it."

Ludmila responded to Mahjarrat Mahjarrat comments, "We would simply refuse to tax those below a certain income level; those who would fall below the poverty line due to it. Also such, that is a much better plan.”

"It depends if we want to give our benefits to all or the few, and I suspect the latter would call into question our motives, they'll spin us as pure populists." replied Mahjarrat.

The conference then moved on to the discussion that new jobs in the alloy, energy and mineral departments would be a must for the progress of the Republic. All members of the conference also agreed with being more friendly to xeno life should it be encountered. Afterwards they returned to the topic of who should run for president but got nowhere in the end. Tomaso left this conference like the last one, without fully pledging his support.

Fractures Within the Republic

TOM Grows
As the Republic moves towards the next election cycle, senate factions are still forming. Karl Braun has switched over from the NPC to TOM for the upcoming season. An announcement made by Tomaso himself announced the switch.

"The T.O.M. is happy to announce that Karl Braun, former member of the NCP, has decided to make the jump from the NCP to the T.O.M. During our hour-long discussions we discovered that we have much in common and mister Braun decided that a change was suited. I am glad that mister Hoth agreed with his stance and is fully supportive of his switch. We welcome mister Braun with open arms."

One Republic Congress Falls
The One Republic Congress, while trying to figure out what their faction ideology and policy stances were, came to a realization that many in their faction were divided on almost every issue. Saint Kraus has since released a statement saying that the One Republic Congress has disbanded. Many of the members are trying to reunify the faction into another faction. Among them only one man seems very promising, with men and women already flocking to his words. In time we will see what becomes of a man named Alexander Dremsk.

CEO Scandals Begin
During a meeting of the United Conglomerate a huge corruption scandal was brought to the authorities of the Republic. The CEO of Divitae Construction, Nikovi Karnazra, called a meeting of the United Conglomerate to discuss something important. At the meeting Karnazra expressed concerns that the Gommunist Workers Union might gain some real power in the upcoming election cycle. All members shared concerns that the GWU might be a threat to their companies, however Karnazra took his concerns too far. At the meeting Karnazra suggested the UC combine their efforts and create fake news and evidence to create issues for the GWU. The man even hinted at rigging the elections to harm the amount of votes the GWU would get. The other members of the UC contained Karnazra and alerted the authorities. Karnazra was arrested on the charge of plotting sabotage against the Republic and its ideals. The man pleaded guilty and was sentenced to jail time. Divitae Construction removed him from being CEO of the company and Xander Angradum took his place. Even under new management, the UC voted unanimously to kick Divitae Construction out of the UC.​
