My 10/10 niece/daughter-in-law with perfect stats died of smallpox because she wasn't in seclusion. It always happens. Newly married and arrived characters stay outside while smallpox ravages the land and then they die. It doesn't make sense that the crown princess lives outside the castle.

It wouldn't be seclusion if you let her in.
I'm guessing even a count has a lot of manors to stash people in. A king can easily create a temporary place for them to stay in outside the capital city limits. Secluded =| Secluded with you.

The game doesn't see the difference i'm pretty sure but you're not totally wrong.
