Diving in again. Raja of the Rajput Reich is missing on the list.
As promised in my last report, this will be played on VH.
I have never played on VH before and are used to a very macro-focused style to the point where my micro visibly suffers during normal campaigns.
It will be done almost live. At most the narrator will be two sessions ahead. Chances are this won't end well, just to give a heads up.
Without further ado, let's dive in.
We are a five development OPM. Absolutely everyone can destroy us even on normal.
We start by rivaling Dhundar, send a spy to fabricate on them and RM+ally Jaunpur+Multan.
Nothing happens until 1454 and we restart. This is going way too slow.
I'm not here to gather favors until I'm dead.
That's better.
Hire a dip rep advisor, RM Jaunpur and Multan again.
Build up to force limit, send merchants, ask Dhimmi and merchants for cash, Amirs for mil power.
One month later we grab both alliances and check out Delhi.
They're allied to Sind. Warscore is below 100% but above 50. Sind has no other allies so we set them as co-belligerent.
If you read the last AAR you already know where this is going. Time for an Indian vassal swarm.
Promised both of them land and called them in. Should be easy.
Need to make sure we occupy enough provinces.
The plan is to break the promise (who would have thought) and to grab a few other allies.
The -20 modifier to alliances on VH is annoying, but that's it.
Royal marriages still work as a protective shield.
Nations never declare into a stabhit. If the situation is dire we can always RM someone.
Relationship limit? Stop making up words.
We try sitting on Jangladesh, but anthill mode is real. So many units flying around, it's hard to feal safe.
Jaunpur decides Delhi's capital is the place to go. We don't stop them.
Not a fan of attaching other armies to us except for the finer parts of it. Delhi has no clue where to go, as usual.
Making a bee-line for Sind's capital, discover their armies, run away. The usual.
In a moment without visible enemies we siege down Bhattlana. Delhi's forts are occupied by rebels, they won't unsiege.
Our general is our heir by the way. A formidable 0/2/2/1.
1 Siege is the most important stat if you're the kinda leader who likes to avoid combat at all costs.
2 shock are nice as well. 2 maneuver stinks, but may come in handy.
Overall decent.
Pretender rebels try to siege down Delhi. Fine with us. No clue where Jaunpur is.
While we were sieging Jangladesh the rest of the map explodes. Everyone is at war with everything.
Normal on VH? No idea, but it makes it extremely difficult to concentrate considering we have to watch four parties, our own troops, the ever changing fog of war and a massive rebel stack that can wipe everything.
Doesn't help that apparently everyone is willing to give mil acc if you blow them a kiss.
All directions are either dangerous, uninteresting or both. Schrödinger's war.
Jaunpur catches Sind, but Delhi is ready to reinforce. We got a few supply shortages, nothing out of the ordinary except for the opening wall breach.
Fingers crossed for a sober Fortuna.
Delhi completely ignores us. We heard tales of an overly aggressive AI, but to chase Jaunpur while ignoring a 35% siege on your vassal's capital?
Okay. No problem. We finish the siege and walk over to Sind. Heard it's nice there this time of the year.
Yea, no problem at all. What could go wrong? This is practically won. Nothing on the horizon.
Carpet siege, carpet siege, oh I love to carpet siege.
The source of all this hectic maneuvering.
Baluchistan, Bahmanis, Gujarat, Kathiawar, Multan, Sind, Jaunpur, all related vassals, Timurids somewhere north.
Pretty much all of India is at war. Hard to concentrate.
The preferred peacedeal. Let's see how far we can push it.
Nobody has been able to siege Delhi so far.
Sometimes Jaunpur tries, sometimes rebels try, all abandon it sooner or later.
Delhi decides it had enough and moves over.
Either to siege down Multan or to kill us.
Judging from recent activities, it's probably the latter.
We make a run for it. No combat. Meanwhile Rebels have sieged down Delhi and Jaunpur takes over.
We will lose our province and only land connection to Delhi's other provinces.
Nothing can be done about it. Maybe they get killed for us.
They won't. Our province is gone. At least we still have that fort. One province is a good start. Babysteps.
We get an event improving our relations with Afghanistan.
Yea, Timurid's vassals. Exactly the kinda guy we need to like us.
Help, we're drowning in sarcasm!
We visit Delhi and help out with a wall breach. That siege1. Best general. God-general. Praise Lord... already forgot his name.
Crappy stats for an heir. Hope he dies after the war.
