Hello guys!

The first major update for Steel Division: Normandy 44, "And Justice For All", is now available!

Here's the massive changelog:

Key improvements:
  • Enhanced performance
  • Added new interface option: Text Size
  • Improved the Quick Play and Ranked games, which now allow to search for different game sizes at the same time (i.e: from 1vs1 to 4vs4)
  • Added four new music tracks
  • Increased the deployment phase time in 10v10 games, now 3 minutes instead of 2
  • Improved multiplayer menu navigation: players won't be kicked back to the main menu when failing to join a game
  • Improved deck building menu: double-click on a pack will add/remove it from the deck
  • Modified multiplayer disconnection condition, should now be limited to players with oldest computers. Please contact us if disconnection problems remain in multiplayer.
General:
  • Fixed the displayed statistics in the "Favorite Units" board (starting from this patch - older and incorrect stats will not be taken into account)
  • Fixed the diplayed map size in the game list for games with Observer mode activated
  • Fixed a graphical glitch in Caumont L'Eventé map

I have to admit, I'm quite disappointed reading that so far, but time will tell...

I really had hoped for a greater effort and emphasis to bring more medium tanks onto the field of combat, and to reduce the enormous impact of off-board artillery.

Either way, thank you for all the work on the patch, glad to have it available. I really hope that going forward you consider putting out more micro tweaks for the decks as needed rather than waiting for a more massive patch like this.
 
With the work of 3 Weeks you made rooms for ca. 2 Months I think. That is a big plus.

I find it good, they did not touch artillery yet, because the community is not yet together on one solution, every kind of change makes it worse.

Medium tanks - I find they are very useful, I find the Stug 3 and Stug 4 are already even up with all allied forces, so everything above is just a plus for germany.
For the allies: Jump(o) and carry on! Together we are strong. Yes we can thats what you said or not? :D
who knows better than the allies to surround all the world?

I wonder, whether this patch will give the allies some teeth and the axis some wind to keep away the air raids.

HOW DARE YOU TOUCH MY LW-JAGERS! I CAN LIVE WITH YOU NERFING IT'S AT LAUNCHER BUT REMOVING AN LMG!?

Reduce cost to 15, increase availability, increase veterancy or remove the damn disheartened debuff. <- One of these things. 25 points is not cheap for DISHEARTENED glorified weak ass pz grens.

Or you know.. gief back 2x lmg :(

I kind of feel like you guys always do the same thing. You overnerf units in certain regards, and to compensate, you nerf other units to make that nerf seem less significant... and then you minor buff totally underpowered units..

Also.. why were the scharfschutze nerfed!? no one used them cause you guys didn't give them any ammo!

Alot of this stuff I can totally agree on, we'll have to see how big the impact on the L6i is. Just these things stood out as weird to me.

I think this means, that you are now free for multiple modes, and at the same time restricted to what you choose.

Did they correct that you see what games other players are searching (so you can adapt)?
 
Anti-tank canons accuracy is now affected by stress

Seven HELLS!
This explains why I always lost my Cromwelll when trying to finish of damned almost fully stressed AT guns!!!

I hope they are now also effected by stress when their transport is destroyed?


In general:
Very underwhelming patch notes when it comes to changes to the different divisions, especially axis side. Seems to be the usual "fix competetive play" stuff with no real impact on the game, sadly.

I just hope for the general improvements and I also hope that I can finally play this game until the end with the fixed optimization.

I also see you changed AA. WIll see how this plays out.
Does this changes of 37 cm and Flakvierling also effect Möbelwagen and Wirbelwind?

I'm also disappointed that no major steps have been taken to make medium tanks -- especially M4 Shermans -- more worthwhile. They are still overpriced. However, it's really nice to be able to change the text size. Up until now, I have been unable to read anything written in the lobby unless my eyeballs have touched the screen pretty much. The nerf to the HS 129 plane also sounds promising.

german infantry has gotten mg ammo added to it.
Fs jager now have 1800 ammo instead of 1000, grenadiers have 1300 and pioneers and grenadier* have 1250.

LW jager been nerfed wtih only ~450 ammo though.

The tetrarch buff im not a fan of. It had a hand cranked turret and the game should reflect it! Reduce price but leave the turret rotation alone pls.

L6 tank is over nerfed very hard i think. it has 102 r/m ROF and fires bursts of 12. Means it only fires one every ~7 seconds. usual 20 mm have it once every ~3 seconds.

The direction they have taken in nerfing hs129 is ok i guess but i would prefer a nerf to accuracy on this plane to 3 or 4. There should be a dice roll which you have to pass with every gun run to survive.
