Even more Japanese troops have crossed the Yangtze river.
They have enveloped Chengdu and Chongqing from three sides, and Nanjing from two sides.
They are still sitting in the outskirts of Chengdu, Chongqing, Changde, Nanchang, and Nanjing, moving around these VP provinces instead of capturing them. Would this be a plan to keep Wartime laws and restrictions in place? Or is there just a lot of resistance in Chinese cities?
The Japanese are also closing in on Shanghai, and are only one province away.
There have been no amphibious landings.

Research:
Research of Advanced Construction Engineering has lead to huge improvements in Infrastructure construction, which means we can now start improving our infrastructure in an efficient manner, there is still a lot of room for improvement.
This Engineering team is now looking at how to better mechanise Agriculture (Level 5) to increase yields
Improved Elastic Defense (Level 2) Tactics have been developed by Army theorists, this will help us get the best defence out of an increasingly mobile Army.
The theorists started work on improved Central Planning (Level 3) this should improve our Counter-Attack capabilities, and eventually lead to faster combat reinforcement, which is hugely important for a large Army like Ours.
